Any E36 M3 Coupès for sale?
Discussion
This one has a VANOS issue (though owner is reluctant to admit it). He has sent me videos of the car and there is something wrong with the idle and the 'cam step' as it goes through the revs/.

If you have a few grand lying around to get that sorted out, it might polish up into a nice car.

He's had that car for sale for quite a while, said he would take £4k for it, what put me off was he bought it as a 'project' & that was without you pointing out a vanos problem (if you can diy, its not that much of a problem & wouldn't put me off buying)http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BMW-E36-M3-Evo-Low-Milea...

OP if you wanted something special I think the OP in the thread below would be willing to sell the AC Schnitzer CLS. (And the e34 is currently in the classifieds)

Vanos will not cost 1000's to put right, have a look at Mr Vanos, had my Evo for 8 years now,the Vanos has always had a slight growl, the engine pulls like a train and gives strong power on the few dynos it's been on.That said they don't want to be too noisey though.Think the units were built for BMW by Rolls Royce but were never the best in terms of quality.

Low mileage E36 M3's are pretty desirable nowdays and always sell quickly, offer too do anything too prise it off your mate!!!
I'm not so sure, there's been a Dakar car with 33k miles I think up with a dealer for a while now, last time I saw the advert it hadn't sold, that was at £15kS3_Graham said:

Nah it was up for ~£4600, I think it's one of those cases on eBay where the seller increases the price after a sale has been agreed elsewhere (in case someone decides to put in a last minute offer of £7k presumably?)
He offered the car to me for £4k on FB, on cutters it was suggested he edit his Ad. as he was being too honest & it would put buyers off, I never saw the pre edit Ad, so don't know what he was being honest about faults wise, apparently the cars been bought by a collector who is going to restore it back to as new.S3_Graham said:

Cheers. I'd genuinely prefer a standard M3 Evo to the Schnitzer - even if they cost the same - they do nothing for me. Presumably the owner is going to be after £25k+. A GT II or GT is far more desirable in my eyes.
There just are no GT2s or GTs for sale.I have looked but you're looking at £20k plus for either now from those who would consider selling.
Must admit I'm looking for an Evo Coupe at the moment. Went to see one near Bristol that turned out to be a dog requiring full respray for £3500, it sold the next day. Crazy, unless he took a silly offer, I didn't even bother offering.
What do you think a Cat D/C one should do to the value? Providing everything looks fine.

A mint 33k miles dakar Evo coupe, manual is worth £20k.

Seriously? I think you might struggle to find anyone who agrees with you. I certainly don't. People would have been falling over themselves to buy the Kolben one at £15k if that were the case, regardless of paint and a wheel. The only car that I have seen go for £20k plus was the 22k GT II at Munich Legends and that had 22000 on the clock. I'd put an £8k premium on a GT II myself. There's an Estoril one being auctioned at Silverstone today with a reserve of £10k on it. It's done 48k. If we could find out how much that goes for we would get a proper idea of the current market. I mentioned it before but weekday auctions seem an absurd way to sell. I'd have been there chucking some bids in if only they had had it at the weekend. I'm not sure why this one hasn't sold but it's had paint apparently and non evo wheel so something is amiss,
