Speculation bubble. Plenty out there in Germany on mobile.de etc
Ones on mobile.de are dearer?!
Stronger and bigger market.

The E30 M3 bubble stared there IIRC.

I'd put an £8k premium on a GT II myself. There's an Estoril one being auctioned at Silverstone today with a reserve of £10k on it. It's done 48k. If we could find out how much that goes for we would get a proper idea of the current market.
That's interesting, how come you value a GT2 higher? Apart from being a limited edition with a "marmite" interior and a barn door on the back, aren't they exactly the same?

Will be interesting to see what the Estoril car makes - first time in a while i've seen a low mileage car go through the ring.

I'll be surprised personally if that Estoril one sells. I think even a good low mileage one hasn't quite broken in to the 10k yet. With the average good condition ones being around 6k.

It's the most common colour as well, which won't help.

Fern Green with Magna interior is a special combo though, I'd love to get one.

Must admit I'm looking for an Evo Coupe at the moment. Went to see one near Bristol that turned out to be a dog requiring full respray for £3500, it sold the next day. Crazy, unless he took a silly offer, I didn't even bother offering.

What do you think a Cat D/C one should do to the value? Providing everything looks fine.
I did a straight swap on my CLK 55 (which owed me £6000) for a CAT C M3 Evo cabrio. 59,000/fsh/new vanos+insp II, all with no rust.

On cutters, general consensus was that Cat C/D would knock 20-25% off the value.

Webuyanycar > offered £5000 last week. happy with that!

bunged it into their site, not sure if it automatically picks up the cat C or not. Obviously didn't go that far as i'm not actually selling. The reason for entering was more due to a discussion on cutters about how owners and mileage effects price on WBAC.

That munich legends m3 gt2 would cost you £35k now. It sold quite a while ago and is apparently in Hong kong.

A few GT2s sold last year at £15k but the market has moved up a lot since then.

When buyers buy them they won't sell them for that price so the market moves up.

Hexagon have sold a few low mileage coupes for near £20k.

A GT2 is more because it's a rare limited edition, simple really.

Yeah but schermerhorn was implying that prices were artificially high here because there were loads in Germany.i then pointed out that the ones in Germany are dearer.

The Germans are coming over and picking up UK cars so we are left with less and less.

it wil be a great car but it's not an m3 evo, it's an m3 replica but yeah that's one way of getting an m3 powered car cheaply.

That will happen more and more for track use.

Sounds lovely though smile

Exchange rate from Euro will make this less and less likely now, especially for RHD

Still says results to follow - strong estimate figure though!!

On a different note - I went to view a car a couple of years ago, checked the chassis number with my local dealer to get the options list, and one of which was "Press preparation" - presumably an ex-road test car from Bracknell, any idea what this would include?

Do you own an E36 as all your posts seem to be talking up the prices of these cars!

It looks a good car and that's a reasonable price given the mileage, but a steal? Also £35k for a GT2? There is no way they've gone up 50% in a year.

I'm after a GT2 but I can't find one for sale.

I have spoken to owners and the prices seem like they're going higher by the day.

Please send a link to any GT2 for sale!!
