Yep, spotted that on eBay last night. The car looks good but a very average advert, no mention of brakes, vanos, suspension or anything specific to rust. In the same neck of the woods as the Dakar Yellow one, i.e. a thoroughly offensive distance from me in London. I've seen some great pictures of techno violet M3s, but those aren't them. The seller should have awaited for a bit of sun.
I couldn't see it on eBay. There is a similar one in Bicester with 59k on the clock which I did see on eBay (though it is cat C).

I spoke to the owner of the Cat C and was originally second in line before he 'found out' about the category. He claimed he had received a clear hpi when he bought it himself. I waa still tempted despite its status. Tge black with modena looks superb.

Fairly surprised that Techno hasn't sold, saw it on eBay the day it went up.

I'd say it's a better buy than the Dakar one personally, even with 30k more.

A tidy looking Boston Green has just appeared on here at £9k. Perhaps a few are going to pop up now as spring begins. Owners seem to be pricing in the £8-9k bracket for the best cars. Feels about right to me.

Interesting thread. I've been keeping my eye on these for a while. I was on the verge buying one about a year ago, sensing that their image was finally on the change. (http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?t=1397903). At the time there was a decent selection available (including, I'm sure, the one still at Hexagon classics @ £15k).

I can't see how you can lose much money on these; but equally can't see prices squeezing up massively. While a cool modern classic (in my view) it feels like the ultimate number of people this car will appeal to is still quite small. 2-3 good looking ones have come up in the last week and all are still available. But I could be wrong. No one was interested in porsche 964 5yrs ago... and now look.

Yep, fully agree. There is going to be a limited number of people to whom these appeal. I'd wager that a reasonable proportion of them are on PH and have commented on this thread. There are something like 35 watchers on the Techno Violet on eBay and it has had a few offers so, despite people being interested and there being an obvious increase in demand, people aren't exactly falling over themselves to get one. The only reason I'm not chipping in offers is that I don't want silver / grey leather. I expect most potential buyers have an exact spec that they want and won't deviate.

I've just seen one done up in finest South London style on my way back from the gym and, even considering the cosmetic 'improvements', it looked great.

Looks nice, well worth a look if your in the market for one,the AP Racing brake upgrade is well worth having and not cheap on these!

Yeah, the AP kit is desirable and, to me at least, suggests an owner who won't have scrimped on servicing. I've never liked green cars but this one looks ok.

I suspect this is true. Or at least a few things they won't budge on. Like most people (I suspect) I'd like a coupe, manual, good history, lower owners. I'm not too fussed about colour and within reason mileage doesn't worry me too much. Albeit, the lower the better. But I wouldn't want something with such low miles I get worried about putting miles on it.

I like the look of the techno violet one. If that car was nearer by, I'd take a look. I could be wrong, but I feel there is still a decent supply out there and similar stuff will come to the market closer by.

I enquired about the black one in Oxfordshire the day it was advertised on C&C, but deposit was already taken (shows they go quickly at the right price). It's now been readvertised as Cat C. For the sake of £2-2.5k, I think I'd rather get one that hasn't been in an accident. However, I'm still quite tempted - it looks pretty straight.

The green one looks nice - but I think it's fully priced and personally I don't see the brake upgrade as a big positive.

Personally I think you're doing the wrong thing hanging out for a specific colour. The techno one and green one on ph look lovely. Could you not love one of those?

Would have thought they will both go quickly.

Estoril is the most common colour, you'll find one.

Here is a recent pic, not great as it was going dark. Hopefully the old girl will be back on the road come summertime, and to think I was close to stripping her for parts two years ago and scrapping it just because it was worth more in parts back then.

Very nice. You must be surprised to have strangers on the Internet throwing covetous looks in your direction.

Then techno one has sold now I think.

Anyone viewed the green one at £8995?
