Quick question:

Did the post-LCI E46 M3 still come with 18" wheels?

Or was it just the 19s?

Thanks

I think 18s were still standard (may be wrong) but I have never seen an E46 M3 in the wild with 18s on of any age

I've seen plenty on 18s. Much prefer them myself and are supposed to be a better steer?

Saw one with 18s and one with 19s at Donington today in fact. 18s just suit the car far more IMO.

19 inch OEM CSL wheels look nicer than the standard M3 wheels IMHO.

19" was an upgrade that the majority went for.

Square setup of all rears suits the 19s, along with a refurb to remove the diamond cut Halfords look.

18s look great with semi slicks on.

So post-LCI cars were definitely standard with 18'' wheels then?

Don't think I've ever seen one. 18s are normally just on earlier ones.

I did the same on mine, with 10mm spacers on the front which dials out some understeer

Rear 18" all around works well with a set of dunlops!

I had a set of the original 18"s but sold them as I have 19"s CSL's as well. I regret it now.

The 19"s look good, but the 18"s drive and grip better, especially on our potholed rubbish roads.

Maybe, but they're on nearly every E46 you see now. I'm so bored of them I'm switching from the "CSL"s on my CSL for a while

Thanks David.

Was just about the pull the trigger on some tyres (was thinking 245 upfront though)

Annoyingly I can't get SuperSports in 265 35 18 fitment.

Car was designed/developed for 18's...the first cars delivered only had 18's in 2001 (and I also think were manual only), 19's weren't available until 2002 deliveries IIRC and were a marketing department requirement! And yes the 18's are the drivers choice.

Picked up a set of BBS LMs in CSL size for it, so will run those for the summer

My first e46...

Any modification needed to run the 18" square set up???? Are there any issues with rubbing on the front????
