My F13 M6 keeps putting the hazards on after heavy breaking, I get that this must be some sort of safety function but it is really starting to get on my nerves!! So I have a "spirited" run come into a roundabout and on they go, it makes you look like a total knob!!

Does anyone know if I can turn this function off? Had a look in the settings etc with no luck.

BMW's hazards initiate when the car thinks you're performing an emergency stop of some sort, so my guess is that you're breaking very very hard indeed.

Good effort indeed. I've had it a few times in my E92 M3. I'd turn it off also if I could.

Just set mine off in my M5 stopping at an amber, next time will go through! Bloody embarrassing.

Had it a few times on the old M3, not many though, you must be really moving for it to be constantly happening or be last of the late brakers. wink

It didn't bother me as I hoon when no one else is about.

Bonus points if you complete a manoeuvre in a vert and cause the rollover hoops to deploy

+1, it's really irritating.

I pull into the office car park from an NSL road and so brake quite hard for it every day, causing the hazards to come on. A burst of acceleration actually turns them off, so I have to do that once in the car park. It's a good job I arrive early as it's the most ridiculous thing to accelerate once in the car park.

I'm really starting to dislike modern cars. I think the sweet spot for car building was 2004-ish. The simple fact is that they were harder/better to drive. Nowadays I think that there are too many safety gadgets that get in the way for a few drivers that drive their cars a bit harder than most.

If you do find a way of stopping those hazards from coming on, please let me know.
