£750 inc VAT on a 6+35 month plan, 8k miles pa.

Apart from the initial payment it's virtually what I'm paying for the M5.

A very cheap way to drive a £100k car!
My dealer deal is a total cost of £39708 over three years with total mileage of 60K, yours is £30,750 over three years with total mileage of 24K. Cost per mile is very different, 8k a year isn't much. Its also worth considering that you can probably buy a new one for cash for £70k with the hefty dealer and BMW support. Also there must me a new M6 looming so do you really want to keep for 3 years.

A few years ago I would never have considered leasing but it now really makes sense. I agree I could probably negotiate a cash price of £73k but would it really be worth £43k in 3 years? I doubt it. I have also spent a lot of my adult life worrying about depreciation. My record was a £22k loss in 10 months on a new 986 Boxster many years ago. The lease takes that worry away.

I need a car with 4 (+1) seats that will take my kids to nursery and allow me fun when in the car on my own. After two years of F10 M5 ownership I have looked at EVERY option and nothing comes close. I was tempted by stupidly cheap deals on an Audi S8 but didn't want to look like Angela Merkel on my way to work.

I regret not taking out (a cheaper) three year option on the current M5 but think the M6 will be a great replacement. I don't think we will see a new M6 until late 2018.

The only difficult bit is choosing the colour....

Quick thread resurrection......

Anyone on the 24 month leases that are due to finish shortly made any progress on either their next car, settlement figures or extending their current cars?

I've still got just over a year on mine I'm over the mileage by a few thousand and interested in how BMW maybe likely to talk to me in 7 or 8 months or so.
Right here goes. I was offered the m5 on a 3 month extension for the same monthlies and 6 if I purchased another car from BMW. So I ordered a 335d xdrive LCI on another contract hire deal for September delivery and also said I wanted the car on a rolling monthly basis.

So was all good, then last week was offered a MY15 7 month old Range Rover sport at £7k under list, like new with 4.5k on the clock in the right colour and spec. So with only a few days before the m5 1st month extension payment was about to come out I managed to cancel that and also with only a £180 penalty knock the 335d on the head. So here with have the replacement and the m5 has gone back today. No everybodys cup of tea on here but a proper beast love it so far!!

BCA who collected the m5 said it was one of the best rentals cars condition wise they`ve ever collected. Will make a good buy for somebody. Loved every day i`ve had it but time for a change. See how we go with the sport, can always buy a m3 in the spring

Nice range rover, I guess you will miss the power of the M5 but the RR has a differing set qualities to enjoy.

Whilst I've got a little while to decide, the RR Sport is on my list to look at however the grunt of the M5 is so bloody addictive I know I'll really miss it frown

The imperious levels of power in the M5 are truly addictive!

That's pretty much my thinking, but i chose to go the 3yr route back in May 2014 as got one of the giveaway deals & am soon glad i did.

On the radar next is the S8+ as i think they'll be offered very cheap in 18mths, FFRR, M6/GC or even a Tesla. Also thinking about dumbing down the daily driver & getting a track car such as Clio/Exige/CTR.

I'd imagine too that you will miss the grunt of the m5, I have just got the wife a RRS v8 diesel albeit a 2007 one so no real comparison as feels so dated now... How ever there's a nice blondy who works next to my wife work who has a new RRS SVM! The noise that thing makes is incredible!! That will be an epic machine, even has wingback type bucket seats !

I was behind one of those the other day and the noise was incredible. List price is just under £100K though, doubt there are any discounts off that and once you have ticked a few options you are at £125K. Am I out of touch or does that seem like silly money when you can get a new M6 for £70ishK. There used to be a time when £100K cars were really special but now it seems that there are so many cars at this level .. inflation I suppose

Ours goes back in 4 months, I wont be extending the lease if offered. I love the car but its poor in the wet and after the joke summer up here in the NE the roads must be wet 50% of the time. I am trying to get a defintive answer out of BMW finance of what condition the tyres must be in on return. MOT legal or is there a minimum tread? Can I return with winters? Nobody seems able to tell me.

I've got exactly the same issue. The tyres are at a point where I would replace them but I've only got weeks left on my lease.

Has anyone else been in this position? Four new tyres will cost me just under £1k but I dread to think what main dealer prices would be.

I would suggest providing the tyres are legal that's all they can ask.

And as we are all aware 1.6mm is the legal limit yes

Thinking an A8 4.2 or A6 BiDi, both diesels that will be mapped. I have bought a weekend toy so are happy to settle for something less full on for a daily. Plus the traffic and state of the roads around here is dismal further detracting from my enjoyment of the M5.

I`d done 16k on the original tyres. The insides were quite scrubbed but was 3mm on each tyre. They just need to have min. 1.6mm.

Collection people said BMW are the most particular but are the cheapest on repairs. (wheels only £25) They have a pc and a till roll in the car to print out your bill. Mine was a big fat 0, and BMW won`t have to do much prep to sell it on just a quick wash and wax

They all go to a place south of Leicester and not the auctions like people think.

Thats good to hear Forest. I will be up for a few scuffed alloys and some paint scuffs. How do they quote for that on the spot?

Still trying to find out about the tyre requirements, does anyone know if they discard the tyres and fit new before putting them into the AUC chain? I would like to return mine with winter tyres if possible.

They must have a guide to stick to for quoting. The bill is produced there and then. I`d say they wouldn`t check if they was winter tyres. It`s all about condition and being road legal

He did say running in service missing costs £770
