I would expect when the car is inspected for condition/damage at the end of the lease they will spot the winter tyres. I will have to email BMW finance and ask them about acceptable tyres upon return. mondie said:

And it will most likely be someone from BCA that picks it up they will check for tyre depth and visible damage but nothing else, it will be on the auction block the next week.
If you part ex the car the dealer would probably try and chip you on the figures if they spotted them, but that wouldn't be contractual.

I'm put off by all the negative reviews in the motoring press. Ironically it's probably these poor reviews that mean Audi have to resort to deals like this to shift them.

Thats a good post thanks. I am new to leasing so not sure how the handback normally goes. I might get away with winters from what you describe. Audi are now finally subsidising the C7 RS6 with a £6k deposit contribution & about £8-9k available by negotiation so discounts of 15% which is about the same as the F10 M5. This is of course on a base spec car but like the M5 they come well kitted as standard.If so then you have to do nothing.

They've also been loading the GFV over the last few weeks so deals on CH & PCP are also available.

A new one comes with 0% finance so you'd be better with the cash in the bank when buying a new one.
Obviously a second hand one for 45k vs. 65k new (discounted) would be the cheapest solution if paying cash.
If it's either on finance then that gets a little more complex as the best rate you'd get used is probably around 6% with a broker vs. 0% with a new one through BMWFS, the SH finance terms from BMWFS are a joke at 10% APR.
It would all depend on the whether you wanted to buy the car outright on finance or just run it for the term.

however after 2 years a base spec like mine (only 20" wheels as options) in monte carlo blue with sakhir interior(which I love but a dealer probably won`t) will probably be worth about £35,000 trade.(maybe less when the markets flooded with more desirable ones.). i really wouldn`t like to try and shift it on. So with a list of £73,000, it`s a £38,000 loss. However BMW invoiced BMW finance for £59,000 for the car (i have a copy), so in reality a £24,000 loss off price paid. Which ain`t my problem

A lot of things to consider, after added all the decent toys it comes to around 65-70k. I've sent some really decent 14-64 plate ones going for around 50k. I would only keep it for a year or so and move on to be honest. I will look at all the options towards the end of the summer when I'm ready to buy.
