Running in service is done phew! The winter tyres will have heaps of grip but the rears are 10mm narrower at 285, the fronts are standard size/rating. I guess will try again with BMW finance and see if I get someone who knows more than the first contact. These are simple questions they should have answers to.

I would suugest you are expected to return the car on the same type of tyre as delivered i.e. not winters.

Ask youself if you were BMW what would you expect, equally how will the chap who picks the car up know what tyres the car was delivered on wink

Interestingly I have just changed all four of my tyres and kept the last set as they are all at 3mm and will go back on the car when I return it yes

When my last M5 was picked up they checked the tyres for depth and condition to confirm that they were legal. They didn't seem to check anything else on the tyres.

However, the chap said if the tyre wasn't at the legal limit he couldn't take the car and would call for a low loader to collect the car, at my cost.
