Actually, word from above thinks I'm wrong.
Only the F82 /83 have them as standard or an option ( can't remember which one is which).

I loved my e90 M3 amd regretted selling it when I bought my F10 M5. However I soon jumped into my F80 and I absolutely love it, best car I have ever owned. It is a step up in every way on the e9x apart from the engine and noise, even though I seem to go against the grain but I actually enjoy the sound of the F80.

The interior with full leather is brilliant, however the test drive car I had didnt have it and that felt cheap.Full leather is a must have in my book.

Ive had my F80 for almost a year now and Im not yet looking to change amd that says a lot. I think when I eventually do it'll have to be something special.

Hi Wills...yeah over 8 years of E92 M3s - I rate them as overall the best car I've owned by quite a margin - [ ]but they do have to be set up right to realise their full [/b]
A while ago I had an M4 for a day and it was OK - its probably best that I don't have high expectations of it.
But having said that, I am looking forward to picking up the M4 CP on my birthday in a couple of weeks...I got a pretty good spec with a mega deal as they were short of target for Jan...plus a loan from Tesco bank at 3.25%. Happy days
Could you expand on this comment further please ?

On set up?
A year ago I traded in a non EDC 60K mile 2008 E92 M3 (owned from nearly new) for a 2000 mile 2013 EDC E92 M3 that apart from EDC was identical in spec.
And the new car just felt slightly odd when I drove it. It was winter time so traction was a bit of a problem and I thought that maybe I also had to get used to the EDC.
With springtime came better traction and the full realisation that something wasn't quite right. On full throttle the car felt like it was steering from the rear, I was still having traction problems especially with one wheel spinning up causing the traction control to kick in, plus the front end was very slightly trying to pull left or right
So I had the alignment done which showed that the front and rear toe were out...fixing that stopped the rear wheels from steering the car and added stability to the front.
I swapped the rear Conti tyres for Michelin Pilot Super Sport which greatly improved the rear traction.
And I changed the diff oil from the BMW version with extra friction modifier to the OEM fill of standard Castrol Syntax..which meant that the LSD locked up much faster and traction was even further improved.
After these changes the car just drove brilliantly, giving loads of confidence to push hard.
Its only that I knew how well the E92 M3 could drive that alerted me to the fact that something wasn't right with my new one...a newbie owner maybe wouldn't have realised and thought it an unpleasant and somewhat scary car to drive.

Thanks, I spent 3 years and 100k miles behind the wheel of an E90 335D MSport and came to the same conclusion, geometry is critical to how they drive.

This is an example of penny pinching that ruins it.
