M3 v8 induction noise
Discussion
I was fortunate enough to get a drive of a CSL today, I knew they sounded good but I wasn't prepared for quite how extraordinary they sound from inside, especially with the flap mod!
I've got a v8 m3 which, in comparison, sounds awfully tame and civilised. I'm aware there are a variety of induction kits available, from simple filter swaps at £60 for BMC/K&N all the way up to full carbon plenums/air boxes at £1500-3000. Does anyone have any experience of the different options?
Will any of them come close to the intoxicating CSL induction roar?
Cheers,
Lefty

Intake side of a CSL sound great. The Exhaust sounds rotten. Whereas ours (E92) sounds incredible from the back and a little tame at the front.
BMC/K&N did panels for the OEM box which makes a modest difference at only £60.
Rotten???? I take it beauty is just in the ear of the beholderBMC/K&N did panels for the OEM box which makes a modest difference at only £60.

Which is a shame since you tend to leave all that noise further behind you the faster you go, making it less audible. I definitely feel that the E92 needs a few rougher edges to it and a different intake might make it more charismatic.Did the GTS have an upgraded intake on it as standard?
