So my car is now 5500 Assembly Complete, how long until the car normally arrives with the dealer in the UK? Dealer is currently saying week 27 which is w/c 4th July.

I'm sure when i ordered my M135i 3 years ago i found a way to track the boat that the car was actually shipped on but cant remember how on earth i did this.

Cheers

I am sure I have seen posts on the M2 section of Bimmerpost where others have done this. You may find some answers on there?

Gents

What are we talking per month for an M2 if you don't mind me asking? Peter V has a deal on at the moment, M4, 4K down and £520 a month (lease), is an M2 coming in a lot cheaper?

Thanks,

So all up over 48 months (deposit spread) it's effectively just over £600pcm - inclusive of servicing?

Has anyone gone from a M235i to one of these? (or even driven both) Interested to hear what they think.

I had an M135i for 3 years and i am soon to take delivery of my M2. I have to admit i was worried about them being too similar so organised an hour test drive, worlds apart in feel and within 10 minutes i was no longer worried.

Roll on July smile

Sorry, it's actually 24 months or 36, it makes no difference.

It looks like some orders are being brought forward - I have just found out that my car projected for delivery in March/April now has build week 49 assigned to it, with delivery end of year or start of Jan if there are no delays.

I only found out by calling the dealer - anyone else had this?

Just need to drive one now!

Best I get on the phone to my Dealership then. Mine is also scheduled for March-April 2017

Once the deposit is down does that lock the price in £ or simply the order slot?

Wondering IF the £ dropped significantly against the € by the time for delivery in not sure BMW would be happy about forex losses yet could easily sell those limited run vehicles elsewhere for more margin.

I spoke to my dealer yesterday and they have no news about increased allocations or early delivery. I still haven't got a clue when in 2017 I might get my car (and have already started looking at alternatives - CLA45 was very good). Did your dealer say it was due to more cars being allocated to the UK/increased production or maybe a few people dropped off the queue in front of you?

They didn't offer an explanation. I called up just to get an update and was told a build date was now assigned. I get the impression they wouldn't have told me if I hadn't called up! Still a 6 month wait though - I'm also looking at alternatives, just because.

What's wrong with rev matching? Means less chance of screwing the clutch or is it so important to heel and toe?

Had a similar set up for rev matching on a 370z a few years ago, was brilliant
