I agree, white does it no favours, nor does black in my opinion.
Yup.Not even sure the grey does it any favours either...
IMHO, BMW have screwed up on the limited colour choice......or rather, one colour and 3 shades of monochrome.
A shouty car needs shouty colour options IMHO.
The LBB is spot on, and even with the paint restrictions in place at Leipzig, they could have at least offered others colours that Leipzig already do for the normal 2 Series such as Melbourne Red, or even the Valencia Orange and even Mineral White would have been better than plain Alpine White.

I think it should have been offered with in Java Green & Austin Yellow along with LBB, Black and then white, silver or grey.
A few pics of my Mineral Grey M2 that I collected over the weekend. Very impressed with it so far. Fitted a number of the M Performance parts such as the MPE that i'm really happy with. First thought was to go aftermarket but it's a slippery slope for me and wanted to keep the car OEM as much as possible.

Lovely! On balance, I still reckon this is the best colour for these. Can I ask whether the accessory MP carbon fibre gear selector and handbrake clash at all with the 'pressed' carbon effect trim on the dash?
ENJOY!
Edit: I've just noticed you've replaced it with the MP alcantara trim, so my question is irrelevant!

I have all the original trim still....happy to check for you and post a pic of them near each other if you'd like?
Ah, that's incredibly kind of you. Yes please?I understand the dash trim is a sort of 'carbon effect' embossed material rather than carbon fibre itself, so I'm just worrying the real carbon elements might clash.
PS I imagine the MPE must sound brilliant.. I was taken for a ride in a stock car over the weekend and it was far from quiet! Sounded much better than the M3/M4 in my opinion.

Are you tempted by the MP alcantara steering wheel?
I wouldn't.I put the M3 alcantara wheel in my E82 135i......and have had to resort to wearing alcantara gloves to stop the wheel turning to st in short order.....a waste of 500 notes in my book. It feels lovely when new, but it takes but 6 months to go to st, and they take a lot of upkeep to re-fettle the surface....and even then it won't get back to what it was new or nearly new.

Has anyone had a play with an M2 yet? How easy is it to turn off DSC completely? Can it be done in a single, quick button press or do you have to hold it down for 3 seconds+?
Hold it down for a few seconds in sport plus. Yes Vines in Redhill.
The LBB one in the showroom looks amazing.

Interesting. This was going to be the only MP parts I was going to fit. Looks great in the pictures, and will break up all the leather in the car. Is it really that bad? They seem to wear well on used Porsches so had used this as a guide.giger said:

If it wasn't for the fact that I'll be likely selling the car within 12 months, I would take it off, flog it, and put the M3 leather one on instead (I was also disappointed that the ///M alcantara wheel for the M3 had a thinner rim (same as normal M-Sport rim) than the standard leather M3 wheel rather than the same thickness)
Bear in mind, that this is all relating to E-series parts not new gen F-series so maybe all different.
