I wouldn't.

I put the M3 alcantara wheel in my E82 135i......and have had to resort to wearing alcantara gloves to stop the wheel turning to st in short order.....a waste of 500 notes in my book. It feels lovely when new, but it takes but 6 months to go to st, and they take a lot of upkeep to re-fettle the surface....and even then it won't get back to what it was new or nearly new.
TY, good advice

Can anyone definitively confirm that the electric memory seats actually go lower than the non-electric ones?

I've heard this being said, but its in direct contradiction to almost every previous BMW (usually the electric seats don't go as low as the non-electric ones).
I sat in the elec seats in the M2 and then manual sport seats in an M235i (so same seats) and the elec definitely went lower.

Chris Harris just posted on twitter a picture of the M2 with the following:

"Anyone who is waiting for an M2 - be patient. The wait will be worthwhile. Little streetfighter!

I'm struggling to find a link to the M Performance parts for info and pricing...can anyone help? Not that bothered by the cosmetic upgrades, but I'm curious to know if there are indeed any performance enhancing upgrades as the name suggests. I'm assuming there will be with the new suspension but unsure if there is any more hp with the upgraded exhaust.

I believe this is what you're after: http://f87.bimmerpost.com/forums/attachment.php?at...
(none actually improve the car's performance though.. how optimistic of you!)

And I'd be speaking with the chap at Gloucester (sorry, can't remember his name) but he deserves the business. Time and time again he has the foresight to offer BMW and MINI parts on forums in a very simple, friendly manner... and with a very decent discount: http://www.babybmw.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=83964

I've just got back from a test drive with a very accommodating salesman who really let me stretch the M2, my conclusion is the car is definitely worth the wait.

I drove an M4 a few weeks ago and the M2 is head and shoulders ahead of its bigger brother in terms of sheer FUN. an absolute blast to drive and goes sideways very very well even with the MDM mode active. Rear grip is great and the car really does "shrink" around you like the old E46 M3, something the M4 can't do and makes the M2 an absolute weapon on our roads.

Wow.

Haha who's this?

My excuse for selling my Tiv is that variety is the spice of lifesmile

The M2 only really goes sideways when provoked, you'd have to be very brutal with the right pedal to do otherwise, unlike the M4 which loves to "surprise" an unwary driver.

Just received these photos of my M2 which I'm collecting next week. I asked for the rear M performance spoiler and the wing mirrors, but it seems they have fitted the whole kit including kidney grills, carbon side vents and front and rear carbon bits. Oh well, I don't mind!

Can't wait!!!

Maff - she looks lovely, not sure if I should opt for the whole kit now given how good that looks!

Is there a discount for buying the full kit (rather than the separate bits ?). I remember that BMW were offering the full kit for the m235i at a discounted price.

Hi Kananga, click the second link and see the 'Enhanced Kit' at the bottom. That's what you're after by the sounds of it:

Thats it, thanks buddy!

IMHO I think the Steering Wheel (Race display) + Performance exhaust would be an interesting alternative to the enhanced kit (for a similar ££ spend, I mean).

But each to their own - the carbon bits certainly look great!!

Im going for steering wheel (Non race display) and suspension. I think the novelty of race display will become tiring after a while and a plain wheel with the centre band more in keeping with the back to basics appeal of the car. That said im going manual. If i was going for DCT the LED wheel might work better.

This is a good choice in my view. Standard suspension is a bit busy and hard.

Is the suspension upgrade more comfortable ?

No idea, but it's adjustable, so I'd hope it could be made more supple than the standard suspension.

So if ordering now likely delivery would be 2017/18? Would actually suit my circumstances if that's the case. Summer of 2018 would be perfect smile
