The new car contract I signed when I ordered, had (as part of the T+C's on the back, very small print) a clause that says I would not be allowed to sell within 4 months of taking delivery and this would be a breach of contract.
If anyone else is annoyed they have been forced to wait for delivery of their M2 because of speculators trying to make a quick buck, please contact me.

What about people who sold the car because they didn't like it? It's not as if they had the option of a test drive before ordering. The new car contract I signed when I ordered, had (as part of the T+C's on the back, very small print) a clause that says I would not be allowed to sell within 4 months of taking delivery and this would be a breach of contract.

Have BMW been in contact with/threatening you? If they haven't I would guess they don't suspect snd shenanigins. Obviously with this other seller BMW have got a whiff of foul play. But do you honestly believe that all the cars for sale at the moment (most with barely 100 miles on them), have been sold because the new owners didn't like the way it handled on the way back from the dealership?
Those are the s.

Oh just seen the chap who posted the advert is a poster here, has a lovely GT4 too. If he was a flipper surely he'd have cashed out of the GT4 first?
Smart money is on keeping it. There's still loads of GT4's kicking around dealerships and sone could suspect this is negatively affecting values. thatsprettyshady said:

I suspect quite a few people will get their fingers singed a bit. They don't appear to be selling very well, so won't turn out to be the best investment made by someone who had the sole intention of flipping. I did get questioned by the dealer.

Yep. He didn't like the car. Similar reasons to mine. Alpinestars said:

In that case why not advertise the car for list?
Me or someone else?I didn't advertise mine.
What someone else advertises or sells their car for is neither my or your business is it?
There appears to be some quite justified frustration regarding those speculators who have got their hands on early cars, when there have been a number of genuine buyers who have been early on the list and are still waiting patiently for their cars.
Usually, if you buy a product and are not satisfied with it, you return it and are quite satisfied to receive back what you paid for it.
With a car unless you can prove that it is seriously defective you have to live with it, or sell it, take a hit and move on
So, in respect of a vehicle, surely would it not be fortuitous enough to be in the position to be able to recoup your outlay should you decide it's just not for you?

Picked up my M2 today, very happy! Traded my M235i and they are totally different cars, almost like going from a diesel to a petrol car. Body control is a different league and it just feels so much more planted. Exhaust note is much more like the M4 and very nicely done. Parking the M2 next to the M235 you can see most body panels are different, doors and wings, bumpers, in fact most of it except the roof!
Some photos next to my wife's M4, actually makes the M4 look a bit boring in comparison!!

Not you. I was referring to the paraphrased. (It's Friday evening, I apologise if I may not have chosen the best point to interject!)

Can't see that happening unfortunately. There appears to be some quite justified frustration regarding those speculators who have got their hands on early cars, when there have been a number of genuine buyers who have been early on the list and are still waiting patiently for their cars.

The M2 scenario is a microcosm of what's happening with some new Porsche and Ferrai models. It's sad that some cars are being put out of reach of genuine enthusiasts.
Unfortunately BMW has contributed to the problem by allowing dealers to sell their showroom/demo cars to people who effectively avoided the queuing system, and who maybe saw it as an opportunity to make a quick buck.
But with the M2, I just can't see it being worth the risk of making a coupe of k for a 50k outlay.
Hopefully some cars will end up in the hands of those who enjoy them.
