Apparently you have to add the new wireless charging option in order for the car to be able to accept car play. Also needs connected drive specified.

Have managed to add the upgraded Bluetooth with wireless charging to mine without altering the build week. My dealer is a bit unsure if the cars will come with iDrive 5 or not. Current cars don't but post shutdown and upgraded cars might? Would seem sensible. Hope they do as its a much better system. Anyone got any better info?

I have an M2 due for delivery in December (ordered in January) - spec still to be decided. However my circumstances have changed and I no longer require it. Anyone out there wanting it, I'd be happy to negotiate with them.
Suggesting a premium of simply taking in the liability??giger said:
Can you actually do this? Mine is also due in December and I might be pulling the plug. The dealer stated they will take delivery and sell on (presumably for a slight premium), not offer to the next person on the list or let me find a buyer.
So are they going to refund your deposit and make you the first owner and then sell on pre-owned at a premium?giger said:

I haven't spoken to them yet. I guess I could say I ordered it for someone else and want the V5 putting in their name. I did this on a Merc ages ago and there wasn't a problem. Are they saying that you're not allowed to do this any more? But if you pulled the plug then the car would come to them and by then they'd have sold it to someone else as normal.
If you were having it (i.e. committed to buy, signed purchase contract) then as normal, they should ask and then put whoever you want on the V5, it's just a keepers address, nothing to do with owning or anything else. So you could put someone else on the V5 and then sell it to them yourself after you've taken delivery.

do what?
Of course you can have a different V5 details and owner. It's quite legit to own a car and keep it elsewhere from your home address or at someone else's property.
Whoops, forgot to quote what I was referring to.Of course you can have a different V5 details and owner. It's quite legit to own a car and keep it elsewhere from your home address or at someone else's property.
The contract I have forbids the transferring of the new car contract to someone else (or words to that effect), i.e you can't sell your deposit/place in the queue.
