So much bullst about availability on these cars. We keep being told there are only 1 or 2 per dealer per year, but keep seeing loads for sale. I was told I'd have mine in September this year, and then one miraculously appeared on launch day. And a whole load of them followed. It's very naive to believe the limited availability yarn.

c20 for sale just on PH, some near list and not selling. Tells you all you need to know.
The ones I have looked at are circa £4k over list!

That's nuts. The 3 cars I know that have sold were at or below list. Mental paying £4k over.

Totally mental but that's what traders are asking but what they get is a different story!
I don't like paying over list but hey ho it's only a few quid a month to the PCP'ers! smile

Good luck with it all Kananga.

After working out just how much I've spent on getting cars moved round over the years, last month I decided to buy a trailer (and suitable tow vehicle of course)... Can't believe how useful it has been already, and how all of a sudden you're everyones mate!

Just need to work out what track car to buy now that I can move it around the country!

But in all seriousness, if the start or finish is near London and I'm free that day, I'd be happy to work something out with you. I'm quite flexible in September, away from 1st Oct for 2 weeks though.

I've just cancelled my M2 order (LBB, 6MT plus options) at Sytner Coventry due for delivery end Nov. Spec still open to change. The vehicle may be available for someone to pick up my slot if you are quick.

Thanks - looked good from that angle in the picture, but less good in the ads on PH.

Picked up mine today and I love it, very happy. I'm going to miss the noise of my Vantage but in every other way this is a car that I feel much more comfortable with, a great daily driver that will be going on the track now an again.

Specialist Cars in Tring. This was their second and final car for 2016 (apart from the demo which they have sold).

Anyone for an immediate delivery M2 manual (one to have in my view), my local dealer has one.

I think you're right about the manual M2 being the one to have! However, what I don't quite understand is why these cars seem to keep coming available; given the supposed demand don't dealers have a list of people waiting and if so why don't they just offer a cancelled order to one of the other people in the queue? The fact they seem to be finding their way to general sale does make me wonder whether demand is at the level some would have you believe.....

Trust me the dealers have a huge list, my delaer has 16 orders and only 2/3 cars this year. I ordered mine back in Oct 2015 and will get it at some point next year. The only thing I can think the dealer is trying to do is to sell the car over list to somebody who wants one now rather than just allocating the car to however is next in line.

You may be right but I didn't think BMW allowed their dealers to sell a new car for more than list? A couple of independent specialists near me had early examples advertised at above list shortly after they came out but had to reduce their prices before the cars eventually sold; obviously I don't know exactly what they went for in the end but not much over list would be my guess....

I believe if the car is registered to a customer and they cancel or sell back to the dealer they will then advertise over list instead of offering to next in line. I have heard of a few examples of this happening with UK BMW dealers.

Think they can also do the same with a demonstrator that they have in stock for a certain period but i'm not 100%?

Same with Porsche on the Cayman GT4. From what i can see there is still a healthy demand for the M2 versus supply, when that will change who knows smile
