Just submitted the spec for my M2 that goes into build in two weeks for delivery 1st week in January, I've ordered the following:
DCT
Sunroof
Long Beach Blue
5 year service
Rear Camera
Memory seats
Heated Seats
Lumbar Support
Through loading system
Electric folding mirrors
Harmon Kardon
Sun protection
Black kidneys
Comfort Access
Whats the thoughts on getting it coated, dealer told me they can 'SureGuard' it for me for £269 but no idea if this is any good?
I'd get it done at a specialist detailer rather than the dealer. I had my M140 detailed and then ceramic coated by Auto curators. https://autocurators.com/ They are bloody good and Paul the owner is a really nice guy.DCT

Had mine for 3 weeks now..
still only 560 miles!!! ( have a few cars so hard to get the miles up) but first impressions are excellent.
nicely put together and feels very solid- the car feels very lively and pointy on the road, v. little understeer, - cant wait to get on the track.
Quicker than I thought it would be- less economical too! HK sound system is really nice. as is the idrive/ interface connected bla bla
I really love the way it looks.. its looks like fat ,squat and aggressive._ Sound was also a bonus- exhaust blip s and burbles nice.
This is definitely a perfect daily driver if you could have one.. though its too nice to park at the station.!

Some might swear by it, I specced the order before the latest iDrive and before this was an option. The car has the new iDrive but not the car play or enhanced bluetooth. The latest iDrive is great, higher resolution, great nav, phone music and playlist control from the bluetooth or cable. The BMW voice thing actually works well too. Maybe if you are commuting / in traffic with your car there are benefits to car play but I can't imagine a use for it when you just want to get in the car, have a blast and be able to listen to music / take calls.

Thanks. That's exactly what I wanted to hear. I think I'll save the £235 and put that towards paint protection from a professional detailer.Andy OH said:

I really, really know the latest iDrive offers as much as CarPlay does and it's free (well, almost )
I haven't got it

The local dealer has a car available for March delivery.
Firstly, I can't seem to get a BMW UK configurater to work and secondly.... I assume discounts are a dirty word?
You can ask as I did but I got nothing at all. The dealers will only discount the performance parts should you wish to add any.Firstly, I can't seem to get a BMW UK configurater to work and secondly.... I assume discounts are a dirty word?
