I walked past BMW park lane yesterday, and at the back they have a 2 series decked out in performance parts, with stripes etc. I went in to see what the carbon bits looked like on an M2; it's an M240; was a bit underwhelming...nice red leather though but the options probably push it well over £40k.
I've sat in that car . The full list price is circa 47k but then it has literally everything you could think to spec .Waste of cash IMO

I've just taken delivery of a clock today that cost a little under half the price of the car, and the service was of a massively higher standard. They say me down with one of the clockmakers who explained to me how many years the torsion wife is treated for, how the bearings are so precise, and how exactly to look after it. I don't understand why we don't get similar from car dealers. It would make me far more likely to deal with them again in future.
Probably casue your clock maker sell 1 a month and your BMW Sales guy aims to sell 10-15 cars a month so cant spend a day with 1 customerFWIW, if anyone is expecting delivery in March (ish)... make sure you double check it is on track and ensure it doesn't slip into April. The VED rates from 1st April change as follows:
First year - £1,200 (was £500)
Subsequent years - £450 (was £270)
Over a 3 year ownership that's £1,060 extra to factor in.
This is for those with 3 pedals.

"First Year Rates of VED will vary according to the carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions of the vehicle. A flat Standard Rate (SR) of £140 will apply in all subsequent years, except for zero emission cars which will pay £0. Cars with a list price in excess of £40,000 will incur a supplement of £310 on their SR for the first 5 years in which a SR is paid. All cars registered before 1 April 2017 will remain in the current VED system, which will not change."

Just had confirmation of an M2 that has become available for this month. PM for details.
This is nothing new . There are lots of cars becoming available seemingly . I'm not suggesting the M2 us overhyped but I think the idea of them being some sort of 'Porsche' like waiting list has been

I suspect a lot of speculators that placed early orders are dropping out as there is little chance or turning a quick profit which is great as it means that the cars are going to people that actually want to own and drive them. Gassing Station | M Power | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
