I had my eye on an m3 cs that was sold through blackbushe earlier today. finished in silver grey with imola red leather and about 43k miles on the clock it all looked good on paper and when speaking to the dealers that serviced it.

there was no mechanical or condition report supplied through the bca website but i thought it might be worth a punt.

roll on the auction and the auctioneer's preamble got the alarm bells ringing. the car had been fitted with a new bodyshell at some point but this was not an insurance job, did not show up on an comprehensive hpi check and bca sold it as seen

cap clean was just over 12 and the car sold for over 16 in the end

there may or may not be a 'story' but i wanted to share this just in case someone is offered it
