Sytner finally phones me back after I gave them the fix code. Apparently they did this recommended fix on the brakes when it was in last week. Still the same still squeeking. They tried to fob me off and say that they are best brakes around etc and they are performance brakes and they will squeek! Wth! Never heard so much BS in my life. Never have I is squeeking from any of my M cars!!
Mine squealed badly with just a few thousand miles on the car but have since stopped - I think a few hard near-stops from speed did the trick.Still on my European road trip, Christ it's a bloody brilliant machine
I was in Spain yesterday, flew this time to keep the missus happy, but there were some great roads and scenary on our travels and at every stage all I was doing was secretly planning my return with the M5.
I can't wait to do something similar again. Where are you now??

+1 it was epic for my jaunt across Germany in June. Can't think of anything that will comfortably devour 2000 miles in total comfort yet make you laugh your head off on the ring on the way home.

In a villa near a town called Cedri in Tuscany having driven from near Todi - I suspect Cedri has about 10 occupants and is right in the middle of nowhere.I was in Spain yesterday, flew this time to keep the missus happy, but there were some great roads and scenary on our travels and at every stage all I was doing was secretly planning my return with the M5.

About 1500 miles in so far, and a further 1200 or so to include going home. The car has recorded 28mpg on a run down, 26mpg average albeit that dropped a bit today when I went out shopping and had a bit of a drive
The views are simply amazing, been for a few runs early am when the sun isn't at its strongest and it's heaven. The countryside here is just wow........
The roads are great, have to watch the Italians as they seem to have a very slow/fast/out of control driving ability
Couple of pics to keep you amused..........
The first week near Todi
Now Cedri
And as it's still around 30 degrees I'll be having a dip again shortly in this once my BBQ has settled a bit
I must remember to win the lottery in the near future, this life is stunning

Mine is for 1200 mile inspection tomorrow...(1350 on the clock). It has been a very testing three weeks having to restrain my driving. It's been like living with a porn star but not having sex!
Patience is a virtue - you treat your porn star like a convent schoolgirl for 4 weeks knowing that on the way home from the dealership tomorrow you get to ceremoniously smash her into little pieces!!W8PMC said:
Still strikes me as odd given i'm not suffering with the traction problems i hear others make reference to.
Naturally being RWD it's rarely perfect & even in hot/dry conditions i got the occasional squirm & sometimes when not expected, but it rarely hampers progress & modulating the throttle a little gets near perfect launches 9/10 times. My issue tends to be at higher speeds when encountering an unexpected tank slapper.
I never had these problems either with the LCI M5 or this M6 GC CP, I would keep an eye on it TBH.Naturally being RWD it's rarely perfect & even in hot/dry conditions i got the occasional squirm & sometimes when not expected, but it rarely hampers progress & modulating the throttle a little gets near perfect launches 9/10 times.
