Small world.

Must admit I was tempted by the one you drove as it's mint and has a lot of options but a couple I wanted aren't on there so bit the bullet

We are considering an RS4 also, hasn't got the mental engine from the M5 though, but it is naturally aspirated and 4wd so you can use it all year round....

My boss had just picked up the black ex demo rs4 from carlisle audi.
He's paying more for that with 5k miles on it and 5 month old then my new m5 and he got a lot of money off it!

I personally think the rs4 is a much better looking and sounding car but i would get bored of it pretty quick I think. Feels a bit lacklustre and my current m135i (tmc box) is easily as quick...

I think the RS4 is a lovely looking car in panther black but dash looks a little dated now to me but the engine sounds great and is a rev fest.

You'd be happy with either on your drive.

We'll have to wait until I get mine back from being repaired, they've given me a 116i as a run around for two weeks, now that necessitates some recalibration of your driving technique. hehe

Bloody hell... This is for the hail damage?

I'd be rejecting the car by this stage hehe

Yes the hail damage, new windscreen/bonnet/boot + lots of dents in other panels, they have assured me it'll be a as good as new I just hope they're right as it's only 5 months old!

Must have missed that

Bad news where did the hail damage happen? Must have been a freak occurrence.

Any pics?

If you remember the hottest day of the year back in July, we had a huge hailstorm that night concentrated in the north (top of West Yorkshire through into North Yorkshire and the dales etc..) in places the hailstones were the size of golf balls.

Thousands of cars were damaged my BMW dealership has seen over 30 cars in for repairs alone, the local dent guys are rushed off their feet and still have a back log.

No pics I'm afraid just imagine 200+ small hammer marks all over the body work, some are very slight some pretty obvious.

I feel your pain!

My wife's brand new X5 was hit in France and it caused £17000 worth of damage frown

No chance of a new one as the damage was far less than 40% of its value.

Every panel was damaged along with front and rear lights, the front wings (which are plastic) were both dented, new roof, bonnet and tailgate. Two dent removal men spent a week on the panels and doors they didn't want to replace prior to filling. Complete respray when finished and the job took 3 months.

Cut a long story short, it was never the same with paint falling off, sunroof problems and 6 months later we got rid, shame it was a lovely car for the 3 months we had it as new frown

Make sure you check it properly!
