yes - just the fascia buttons sometimes lose the plot - almost seems as though it loses DAB control?!

Nevermind - love it & even more so with MPSS, instead of Pzeros

Congratulations!

When you do you collect?

Any pics as yet and what swung it for you to get an M5 as going by your last few posts you sounded like you didn't think it was the car for you?

Oooh that is one fantastic looking and highly specced CP M5! Congrats again, I really liked that one (seen it on the site but was always out of budget for me otherwise I would have been all over that one! ) biggrin

I bet you can't wait, Time will no doubt really drag now waiting for next Friday to come round!
Congrats, great car and great taste! beer

Cheers, it was 8k out of my budget as well rolleyesboxedin , but man maths took over & the 18 months of BMW warranty, 4 years of service pack & low mileage sort of made sense compared to an out of warranty 13/14 car with 25k+ miles on?

It means I have to sell my E46 M3, but I've not used it for a year & it's being wasted sat there....

What's your budget/ wish list? As ever, there were loads around when I wasn't seriously looking, but when I did a lot of them disappeared, I really wanted a stunning black CP one that a guy in this thread was selling, but I got let down on my M3 after being told it was 100% sold and I missed the car furious

It does make sense tbh if man maths worked out for you then that should be good enough reason to buy! biggrin

Like you when I wasn't looking seriously, loads of great examples... as soon as the RS4 was sold and I started to look seriously, hardly any in budget! sometimes its just that way.

My budget is upto £45k mainly for all the reasons you cited. However, I missed out on a fantastic 2014 CP M5 last week which was under budget and with 2 years BMW warranty negotiated into the deal plus 2 years of the 5 year service pack still remaining. A mere 10k miles on the clock and 16k worth of optional extras (incl. CP) but sadly due to the late running in service the dealer had to pull the plug on it as it didn't qualify to be an AUC car.

I now don't mind getting a car as old as a 63 plate because if it means sealing the deal. I find most (in my experience so far) dealers are willing to offer you a 2 year warranty like I was offered on the 14 plate CP mentioned above as well as another one that was a 63 plate. if the car came with a 5 yr service pack, then potentially even a Sept 63 plate car can work out well and depreciation should be less if you are paying less to start off with I guess (this is my man maths in action now!)biggrin

I think after 40k unless the car is spectacular, you are better off buying an AUC...

Yep, that's been my thinking all along. Good thing about buying from the dealer is I can get an M5 as old as a 63 plate and get a 2 year warranty into the deal, I'm laughing! (except when I see the money leave my account) Lol

But isn't that factored into BMW used pricing model anyway?

Without a shadow of a doubt it is, however from someone who is never normally fussed about used car warranties, as generally they are not worth the paper they are written on, at this price level & the potential for large 4 or even into 5 figure bills, the BMW AUC makes sense imho.

I've read before and been told by an ex bmw salesman that a 2nd year is at cost to the dealership.

That explains why I've had some dealers refuse to sell me a 2 year warranty!

On one occasion I was offeeling to pay full price on their M5 and they still said no! Lol

AUC warranty imho is a must and if I can get a car with 2 years AUC on it, that is a sale clincher for me.

Have read through number of threads and decided, why not, only live once! Collect my AUC CP M5 at the weekend. Bit more than I wanted to spend, but man maths took over. For reasons won't bore you with, wanted MC blue and silverstone interior and reversing camera, so got all those boxes ticked and a few more besides. Always wanted an M car, so this is a bit of a dream car for me. If it gets a bit too much can always sell it on.
Currently got E500 coupe Merc, before that a Monaro.
Very excited for the weekend!!!!
