I was looking at the M Registry and of the 5100 plus F10 M5's produced for Europe in RHD, only 785 came with the Competition Pack.

All personal and I decided I wanted a CP car. Just felt tighter and sounded more growly to me.

The must haves for me were. .. CP, HK, Surround view & Comfort seats.

Finally picked up an AUC M5 CP , absolutely gorgeous one owner Moonstone metallic with Sakhir Orange with all my must haves. I love the combo and adore the Moonstone paint, stunning colour imho.
Congrats mate, put some pictures up and if you don't mind PM me where did you get the car and how much did it set you back as it will give me an idea.

Can it be said that CP M5 sounds like standard M5 with performance exhaust ?

Nice.

Some photos of my boring grey one. First practicality test (transporting my girlfriend's bike) today. I took the M5 badge off the boot too as I think it looks better without it.

And a fun photo parked with an i3 hehe.

Very understated look - I have an imperial blue M5 similarly debadged and you'd certainly have to look twice. Great looking car.

To those that have had an E39 M5 and an F10 M5 - how do they compare perception v reality and also for actual reliability?

I'm interested about this also. I am planning on making the jump to an F10 from my E39. I know I will miss my E39, especially as I'll be driving something lesser for a year or so, but I think it'll be worth it.

Yeah keen to hear the reality not the perception.

Also how does the E60 compare to the F10?

Had to be Silverstone for me as it was originally an exclusive colour for M5's from what I recall now it is exclusive to certain M cars.
The hint of blue in sunlight makes it look lovely.
Although dirty in the glum weather it may pass as a silver 5 series so swings and roundabouts.
Paired up with the sakhir interior I think it's lush

Great cars - I really like all the M5's...each seems to have different characters.

Interesting reading the stuff about the BMW extended warranties - does anyone know what the criteria needed to qualify for a BMW extended warranty? Does a car need a full BMW history and this needs to include the running in service?

Running in service is critical for BMW AUC warranty & extended warranty.

You just wanted to show off your GFs fancy pushbike wink

Much nicer with the badge removed, it just doesn't sit will within the space IMO.

..and easier to clean too..

This thread is really useful. Thanks guys!

I'm also in the market for an M5, preferably white. Options that I'm ideally looking for, MF seats, reverse cam, ski pass / folding seats, 20 inch wheels. Mileage ideally under 40k, full BMW service would be good too. Cash waiting and I'm London based. Thanks, Derrick
