Hi all.

After selling my business of 9 years I have treated myself to a new F10 M5.

I got one of the dealer stock cars as they gave me a quite ridiculous discount and the 0% PCP made it a no brainer (even though I could pay for it up front).

Options on the car are:
- Monte Carlo Blue
- Platinum Merino Leather
- 20” M Double Spoke 343m in Black
- Reversing Assist Camera
- Boot Lid Operation Powered
- Competition Package (this is the only option I wanted)
- M Rear Spoiler
- Sun Protection Glass
- Soft Close Doors
- Split Folding Seats
- Surround View
- Adaptive Headlights
- Internet
- Harman Kardon Surround

I also did a deal on the following dealer fit items:
- 19” Alloys + Winter Tyres
- Tow Bar

I pick it up w/c 13th of August… which will be a very early Christmas for me!

I decided not to go for the carbon brakes based on the sales guy’s advise. I hope I don’t regret it, but £7.5k is a lot of money... did I make a mistake?

Sounds like a great spec, well done yes

I've not got ceramics and to be fair have never owned a car without however I don't find myself wanting more breaking power.

My wife remarks it's not the way the car accelerates but the way it stops that impresses her more hehe

A great car and after 18 months I still look forward to going for a drive, in fact after an 1100 mile journey to Italy last week I can confirm it's bloody magic biggrin

Good work. That's sounds like an almost perfect spec.

Two weeks is not long to wait. Pictures please when you get the car.

I drove a ceramic brake equipped car on an M-Experience day a couple of months ago. Although hugely impressive on the track I really don't think you need them for road driving. In two years and 20k miles in my car I've never thought my (standard) brakes as inadequate.

Enjoy the new car when it arrives!

Sounds a nice spec car, how could you go for Carbon Brakes if it was a stock car?.
You need to order a car from Germany to get those unless a stock had them which would be very unlikely.

Sounds just perfect to me, although as a man of means, I thought you'd go for full leather and the B&O sound system!!

The ceramics are indeed amazing, but a touch over the top for a road car....so you were well advised.

The standard items are well up to the job.

Mind out for dark jackets resting on the centre arm rest.

Post pics when you get it!

I was going to go with a custom build, but they found this one as dealer stock and I got a great deal on it. As a result I didn't get any choice about the options but thought they were all pretty good ones except the boot and internet. I got them to do a deal on the tow bar + the winter wheels & tyres as part of the deal. I was happy to wait until next year for a new one but the deal was too good to say no to.

Here we go with only 7 miles on the clock...

Every bit as good as I thought it would be. Looking forward to getting the running in service out of the way!

Stunning, however i really don't think the back wheels suit MCB. May just be how the car looks in those photos as i've seen the same wheels on a black car & they looked awesome.

Great spec too, however adaptive headlights & M Rear Spoiler are standard items.

I'm 2.5k into my car.

Was collected new 24th June.

Run in period was painful - and the performance when you fully open the taps is very addictive.
Only car I have owned that pulls like a motorbike (I ride a GSX-R750 daily).

Love the interior and exterior colour loads but for me the black wheels don't suit it but I am a boring old git!

Looks like Sapphire Black and a little bit dirty. Mine looks like that an hour after it has been washed. I've had black M cars before and they looked cleaner for much longer. It's something about that particular paint.
