I'm thinking about leasing a new M5 - does anybody know of any better deals than this. I've been looking around but this is the best I can find. The only problem I can see with leasing an M5 is that its base specification.

6+35 8k Miles p/a
Initial Payment: £3,895.2
Additional Fees: None

£649.20
Per Month, INC VAT

BMW finance also seem to be offering some good deals with 0% interest and will contribute £9779.77. I'm sure I read on Pistonheads previously that some dealers will make much larger deposit contributions especially if they want to meet any end of quarter targets. Does anybody know of any BMW dealers in particular who are more accommodating and will give a great deal on an M5?

I've been playing with the M5 Configurator recently, having been tempted by the 0%, 10k down £649pm deal.

I have also been offered reasonably specified stock models for around the £680 mark, although I'm finding myself a little precious about colour & interior spec which may force the individual build option.

That lease deal you quote seems worthy of consideration too to be fair, I may investigate further.

Not sure I can offer any wisdom I'm afraid as I'm not sure what to do myself!

Peter Vardy do rather tempting deals, as do Eastern BMW in Edinburgh.

I have 20s on mine, but think I may prefer the look of the standard 19s.

Standard spec is more than decent, but some options are really superb, like the surround view.

Good luck with the search.....and do it!

Mine is due for change in 14 months and I'm likely to go down the 0% finance route over 48 months if the offer is still around.

Currently paying £650 per month to include 20" wheels and privacy on 12000 per year. I'll be over mileage by at least 4000 however that's not a lot of cash to hand over in excess when the car goes back.

I'll go for a darker colour next time possibly still with Sakhir interior, it's a lovely place to sit. 20's and privacy with camera and better sound. Other than that it has everything I could want in a car. Currently got Silverstone II and Sakhir whihc is a lot better than it sounds yes

Or, I might go for an M6............2 or 4 doors.... confused

I've still got 20mths to go (so glad i opted for 36mths) & can't fault the car as is by far the most complete all-round package on the market which will make change time really difficult.

Not sure i'd want the exact same car again though so an M6GC may be an option. Saw a new C63S yesterday on the M6 & was totally underwhelmed by how that looked & still don't get the draw of the AMG's. RS6 would be a possibility as Audi have come to their senses with the pricing.

Like you mine's on a 36 month contract and I'm just over half way through, finishing year November, so 16 months left.

I've never had the same car twice (911 aside but different variants) however I'd make an exception here and have two on the trot without question.

The 6GC looks great and I prefer the interior of the 6 but I don't like the shape of the 4 door 6 and I prefer the 2 door version which depending on deals is also a consideration.

I have had a look at a new C class AMG Merc at Goodwood at the latest Saywell day and it was mighty impressive, even sounded great on track - which by the way I've been told mine does as well smile I did think the interior was much nicer than the M5, more modern and well sculpted. For those however who think the M5 looks like a 520d, have a look at the new AMG from more than 5ft and you can't tell the difference, the styling is almost identical.

Totally agree about the styling.

You prefer the interior of the AMG? This is one area i find the AMG's a real let down as although they have some nice styling inside, it's far from functional & i found it a real let down & to be honest a bit dated in the same way the pre recent facelift RS6 was. It's tour de force is still noise & for that it gets a huge tick in the box, but i feel no draw to any of them (other than the new GT).

I thought the Merc dash was more driver focused albeit it's still a screen and I drive knob etc. all slightly rearranged compared to the BMW.

I've had loads of BM's and to be honest the dash hasn't changed much in 15 years!

mine was meant to be going back end of august and they`ve let me keep it for another month for the same money (just been told they`d let me keep it for 3 months extra at the same money. Even upto 6 if having another BMW.)

When do you get the option to do this?

Mine goes early December and is being being replaced by a new Jag XF-S (another bargain lease deal) I'm being told it might be January delivery and I really don't want to have to cycle to work in winter!

Out of interest do you mind sharing the Jag deal details?

Mines from Mad Sheep leasing. They were only around for about a week.

I saw it posted on the deals thread in general gassing and jumped on it straight away. It then ended up on hotukdeals and the website crashed.

They were just under £400 on a 10k miles 6+23 but I added a few options (20's, surround parking, heated steering wheel and metallic) to bring it up to just over £450.

I spoke to my local dealer who couldn't even do a XE 2.0d for that!

No unfortunately not, just the new shape model S - 380bhp 3.0 supercharged (engine from the F-Type).

Link here. But it's gone up a lot since I ordered mine!

The new model R has not been announced yet.
