A few years after selling my V8 M3 to go back to rear engined precisions instruments.. I addeed something to the stable to day that brings me back to the clan..

I paid a deposit on a M135i... Daily driver Golf GTI went earlier this week and was not expecting to find a M-lite so quickly but what looked like a good car came about and I had to react quickly..

Black on black 5 door auto.

It has pretty much every toy I could wish for.. Pro Nav / Driver Comfort Package / PDC Front and Rear / Cruise Control / Visibility Package / Sun Protection Package / Windscreen with Green Shade Band / Adaptive M Sport Suspension / Model designation deletion / Electric Glass Sunroof / Exterior Folding and Auto Dimming Mirrors / Electric Front Seats with Driver Memory / Through Loading System / High Gloss Black Interior Trim / Headlight Washers / Harman Kardon Hi-Fi / Enhanced Bluetooth

....and the cherry on the cake... M Performance Limited Slip Differential.

Only thing it doesn't have is the MPE...

Car looks well cared for and ready for the commute duties she will tasked to. I think it begs to be lowered a little.. it really looks on stilts at the moment.. so Eibach Pro are in order..

Few pics. I will get proper delivery after the holidays.

Lovely Car Rosino! Agree with Mermaid (enjoyed just writing that!) in that it is a fantastic all-rounder for sensible money - a cake and eat it type of car IMO.

Please report back on the LSD!

Much better car with a TMC tuning box ..... Oh look I have one in my garage for sale..

Great cars and fuel economy is crazy in Eco mode on a run... I got 45 mpg on a 400mile round trip ... Though that was with the tuning box on?!?

OP, nice choice. I've a friend with an M135i that had been treated to a stage 2 AC Schnitzer upgrade by its first owner.....all I can say is it's impressive for a 1 series,, sufficiently so that it's been known to seriously hassle another friends new M5 on a recent track day & reckoned to be faster than a 1M by those who've experienced.

Saw that one myself when buying, but you beat me to it. Coming from an E92 M3 as well.

Mine is a similar spec minus the LSD and Electric seats but 6 months old with 4k on clock.

My initial plan was to keep this for 6-12 months and the move to an M3, but having lived with it for a few weeks, I think I'd struggle to justify the additional cost for what you get.

It's an awesome little thing, feels incredibly sure footed and very rapid. You do get a fair amount of DSC action getting power down out of slowish corners though, I expect that's where the LSD would help.

PS. I had an RS3 for 6 months prior to this, and apart from it being offensively un-dynamic, its quoted 335bhp didnt feel as quick as the 135.

Drove around a bit in the car. I have to say the power is there but could definitely do with a bit more steering feel. Strangely I think I prefer it in Sport both for steering and dampers. Which just feel too soft in comfort mode.

I think I will give a go to Eibach springs which get good reviews on forums. Not sure about stiffer ARB as its a massive labour intensive job and won't use the car in anger in any case...

Havent had much use of the LSD so far but will do for sure as soon as I find a decent open road.

Not planning to chip tune it. Think 320cv are plenty for the chassis...

Another E92 M3 ---> M135i owner here and I am in no way disappointed with the car. Best of luck with yours, the black with de-chromed grills looks + de badge looks lovely.

I can't help but think that these cars feel at their best in the wet with about 60% tyre wear.

...but with the LSD, yours is going to feel a LOT better than most.
