I've not had a great ownership experience with my M4. Dodgy build quality and dubious exhaust note. Ordered it 6 months before release so didnt get a chance to actually drive it. Had a 640d before and the cabin/quality is a league above. M6 sounds like the car for you!

I had the M6 GC CP, I now have the LCI M3, don't miss the M6 for a minute.
With full leather the M3 is not that much behind the M6, and lets face it we look otu of cars not at the interior whilst driving.

What's dubious about the exhaust note ?

I've got one of those exhaust valve controllers on mine, great bit of kit and with valves fully open, even the standard exhaust is loud.

The only issue I had with the m3 I tested was the noise, everything else was great.

How about stay in the c63 for a bit? Surely they must hold their value well.

Then wait for the M4 competition pack to be released and the M2 and give those a go??

The 2 year lease on my C63 AMG coupe is about to end, one option is to buy it for £35k, or I could use the opportunity to lease or PCP something else. It seems I can get an M4 for £630pm plus £3,780 deposit over 36 months or an M5 for £669pm plus £4,014. Any thoughts? I do 10k pa mixed driving and rarely need back seats...
Op is the price for the M4 including lots of extras?

And the stones that get caught in the dirt guard behind the rear disks.
Far to regular and sounds bloody awful.

No, I don't think so, this is the quote I was given by Vardy - and it seemed competitive compared to others I'd found. Do you know of any better deals?

I'm really struggling to reach a decision and may well end up buying the C63 as some have suggested, at least for the short term - it is a bloody good car, sounds awesome, is fast enough for everyday use, has loads of toys and I don't think will depreciate too heavily from here. Shame that lease deals aren't as good now as they were 2 years ago when I got it for £570pm!

I'd go for the M5, it just seems a better deal and I would find useful the added doors, rear room and boot. But the smaller size and weight of the M4 could be something appealing to you. Maybe even a short test drive could really help, not for the road performances, which in both cases very high, but to check how comfy you find the interior and how satisfying the perceived build quality.

That's a good point, the M6 I test drove was a beautiful blue - I think San Marino, with white interior, but I'm not sure it's available on the M5
I have an M6 in this exact colour, it really is wonderful to look at. I also moved from an C63 and I do still miss that noise cloud9

Originally I went to look at an M5 but with the discounts BMW were giving at the time there really wasn't much difference in price between the two! The M6 just looks and feels so much more special, so I opted for that have haven't regretted it at all.

I always think that changing car is a good move because life is short and there are a lot of cars worth owning but as others pointed out keeping the C63 a little more could also be an option because moving on in some time shouldn't mean losing much.

I'm with Jon. Just traded my M6 (also a San Marino blue with the full individual Opal white interior - the best combo!) for an M3 (white with full Silverstone) and I am OVER THE MOON with it. I don't miss the M6 one bit. The M3 is so much more fun, louder, sportier looking - and can take people in the back! I'm with Clarkson and Chris Harris - just go and buy one!

The *only* think I don't like is the manual handbrake. Haven't had one in the last three cars since 2010 and it feels a bit... old fashioned.

C63. I couldn't live without the noise.

M3 is the best looking of the lot. Performance exhaust a must!
