2014 M5 low oil = engine rebuild... recommendations?

check through stalk button is the quick check. the full check is the other one and runs in the background continuously

Not aware of the stalk button check, just the 2 options in the idrive under vehicle status, don't trust the first one would be my advice.

I've got a funny feeling the stalk button check was on the E60 M5 as i kind of recall that scrolling through the OBC display brought up a simple oil level display.

The new engine price is incorrect. Mines just had new one under warranty and the cost to Bmw was 21k still a hell of a lot of money but nowhere near 35k
