F10 is at sea!!!!

Well a change of salesman at the local branch has meant I now get regular updates.

Latest from yesterday is that it was at sea so I can only pressume it's in the UK now.

Getting very excited now.

How long from UK port to dealer do we think??

If it's anything like my M3 it could be a couple of weeks yet! It seems to have taken a month from leaving the factory to me taking delivery later this week. I was originally told delivery w/c 21 September based in an 8th September completion date. I'm still waiting........

my M3 too a week to get from 'at sea' to the dealer. and then two days turn around at the dealer before i collected yesterday!

Yes - there is sea between UK and Germany....

And there is also a big tunnel. Lots of cars make their way to Britain through the tunnel.

Me too, it's in UK now so asked if it is still down for the week of the 18th and he replied

I'm just waiting for a delivery load. Hopefully it will show at the end of the week fingers crossed.

Not sure if that means a date for the delivery load or the actual delivery load...

If cars are anything like other imports it could take 2wks to pass through the docks. That may account for some of the 'at sea' time.

My F10 will be at sea next Monday as I head in the other direction accompanying the Galactic Emperor to Frankfurt. Looking forward to a bit of autobahn action

My F82 went to sea on the 11th Sept and it arrived at the dealer on the 17th. I picked it up on the 18th. 1st service was on the 2nd Oct.

My M6 GC finished build on 27 September 2013, arrived in the UK on 10 October, arrived at the dealer on the 11th October (Friday) and I collected it on 16th October. So from arriving in the UK to the dealership was just 1 day.
