Saying Hello - new M6 GC on the way!

Have to say that looks very nice - a real step up on the interior of the M5. I was checking the size of the M6GC the other day (just out of curiosity of course ) and note it is 4 inches longer than the M5 and a touch wider. That's a pretty big car for four seats!
All the extra length of the M6 GC compared to the F10 M5 is in the noseAnd it depends how you measure the width as to which is wider. Include the mirrors and it's the M5 that's wider, measure from the outside of the tyres and it's the M6 GC.

Looks awesome - congrats - the black grills suit it and make it meaner
I've leased a car before and was paranoid about keeping it pristine - the return was actually painless but I worried about the car more than if I'd owned it
Thanks!. I don't mind keeping it pristine, that's a sort of hobby, time permitting.I've leased a car before and was paranoid about keeping it pristine - the return was actually painless but I worried about the car more than if I'd owned it
It will be a non-daily driver in the winter anyway.
Parking the thing does concern me. So I ordered the surround view cameras which gives you a view of all 4 wheels and front / rear while parking - could save some expensive scrapes.
Total newbie question here regarding leasing.
I have always just bought my cars outright but am beginning to see the light (I think). Certainly if leasing costs me less than the depreciation I'll see on my car over the same time period then you can't really argue with the maths!
SO to my question. The price you ended up paying for the M6 - £680 inc VAT on 9+35. Was this after huge, manly, powerfully built company director type negotiation, or is that what they were offering at the time?
I ask because they are currently offering the M6 Coupe at £882 + VAT per month, which is a long why from what you managed to get.
Like I say, I know absolutely nothing about this leasing lark so I'm probably missing a lot of important points.

No ball-breaking negotiations here - I'm British!
It was pretty much the advertised price, about 20 quid off I think, but their price was already about 200 quid lower than anyone else (except Peter Vardy down the road). That's the "fun" in leasing. The prices changes all the time and bear little resemblance to list prices.
I did get a similar price from Peter Vardy Edinburgh, and EWFS beat it by a little so I went for it.
On 2nd October the prices jumped right up, back in the £1000's at most places and by a few hundred at EWFS. Colin at EWFS said BMW has reduced their M6 support by about 10 grand for this quarter.
But it might come back, On the other hand M5 support is up further this quarter....

Sorry chaps, been busy!
The basic car deal was £680 inc VAT on 9+35 from EWFS in Edinburgh. That includes 3 years road tax, a full tank and even £150 expenses to travel to Edinburgh to collect it! Make a nice day out of it.
The M6 Coupes were going for £650 inc VAT, but I wanted the 4 door as this still needs to be a family car (only one daughter 7 though). Oddly, Peter Vardy in Edinburgh were also offering Coupes at £650, but they couldn't quite match EWFS for the GC.
Seems like these two places in Edinburgh offer consistently the best lease deals on M's. I'd been wathcing EWFS deals sine 2013.
Mainly I'd been eyeing up M5s at around £550-600inc VAT, but the M5 needs 20" wheels, a decent hifi, M seats etc, you're looking at another £100/m just for those.
So the M6, being a whole step up build wise (and looks wise for me) anyway and comes with everything. Even split fold rear seats as standard! Also standard, 20" wheels (two types inc M5 343M type if you want) FULL merino leather (£5K on M5), carbon fibre trim, alcantara headlining, harmon kardon hifi, full LED adaptive headlights, the list goes on.....

8kpa.
Fine for me, I've only managed to do 17,000 in my E63 in 2 years and that has involved 2 holidays in France and pointless driving around trying to meet the 10kpa on the lease for that!
M6 excess is 25p/mile inc vat. (only 6p/mile on the E63 though). So if I did 10kpa that would cost me £1500 at the end / £41per month equivalent.
M6 full lease cost over 3yrs / 24,000 miles works out at £1.24/mile (that figure is best forgotten!)

From iND in the states, bought via CA Technologies over here.
http://ind-distribution.com/ind/categories/exterio...
I wanted black front and side grills, but BMW only make performance front grills.
iND make full grill sets from OE parts carefully sprayed gloss black (or any other colour). Including a choice of repeater lense tint in the side grills.
Not cheap, but I can sell them on when the car goes.

I have the grills from IND, I went with gloss back and clear lenses + the black front grills they add to the visuals of both the GC and M5. http://ind-distribution.com/ind/categories/exterio...

What a thing of beauty it is too. Amazing interior, so driver focused. Tol many gadget's to mention.
First mods done, black grills and side markers.
Also carbon exhaust tips to replace the naff chrome ones, but they're not in the photos.
Enjoy...

I really thought about one recently, but they are bigger than M5s and less spacious inside.
On close inspection in the flesh, I just didn't like the looks at all....too long, too Vauxhall-Calibra-ish in my head!
Comments about superior build baffle me....I never saw that at all.
M5 all day long for me.

Was it bought new at that price as in factory order or was it a pre-reg? Or maybe it was a used car with a proper previous owner and a few miles on it? The prices for these seem to be all over the place. Was offered one yesterday at the same £72K price and it specs to about £100k but is 3 months old with about 3k miles. I thinks this is not the best deal out there?
