Oh man, if only BMW would have put that colour as an option for the F10 M5, it would have looked amazing.

The M6 GC looks like a weapon!

There are 5 seat belts so technically they are 5 seater, but the middle rear passenger has to sit legs akimbo thelarge centre console and does it have as much headroom.
Cheers Richard, these would have to be a fantastic used car buy at around 3 yo.

Here it is, just arrived.

What a thing of beauty it is too. Amazing interior, so driver focused. Tol many gadget's to mention.

First mods done, black grills and side markers.

Also carbon exhaust tips to replace the naff chrome ones, but they're not in the photos.

Enjoy...

Gorgeous colour combo. My ideal car. Hopefully can bag it used lol

Thanks for the comments all.

Yes it was a factory order to my spec. It might have been an existing booked production slot though and then they changed the spec. I say this because I ordered it on 30th September and it was built on the 25th October and in the dealers here mid November which is very quick, barely 6 weeks. All dealers had quoted 12-14 weeks delivery.

If it was, then that may have led to the low price in order to sell the slot.

Re the size / M5 comments, I get what you're saying. I don't like the coupe proportions, too much body and not enough door! A bit Garth Cheeseman / ford probe. The 6 has a more "cosy" interior that envelopes you a lot more which for me more than made up for any loss of headroom. It won't be doing furniture removals, so as long as 4 adults can fit that ticks the box. The back actually feels more roomy than the E63, a little less footroom, but more seat depth and body room if that makes sense. It's rather like a fancy private jet in the back, all leather deep sculpted seats and full electric sunblinds..

The 6 interiors as a range are a step up from the 5s, that's the model hierarchy, but the M6 makes the F10 M5 feel like a 320d inside to me.

The gran coupe shape really sits well in my eyes and and despite coming from an E63 estate the interior and boot size isn't an issue at all.

I had planned on an M5, but the F10 interior is too long in the tooth IMO, and they go out of production next spring which for me would spoil it a bit, each to their own of course...

Any of you M5/6 owners want a set of winters mint condition 20" DARE RF, with 255/35/20 front Michelin Alpin PA4's, rears 275/35/20 Michelin PA4's 6mm+ treads.
If you do £1000:00 that's giving them away. The TPM Valves cost £330+ fitting alone.
PM me as I do not get mail replies from here for some reason.

This looks great! I have an F10 M5 on lease for another year, but I am always thinking about what to get next. I love the M5 but I don't think it has the presence/look I really want in the next car. I had been thinking about a second hand Maserati Granturismo, a 991 C2s, or Lotus Evora 400; your pictures made me think more seriously about the M6 Gan Coupe, so I went to see one today (as I haven't seen one in the metal before). It was was in the San Marino blue and was parked next to an M5 in the same colour as my car (Silverstone II);it was way more special; an awesome looking car. It has really made me think that it could offer everything the M5 does, but with the special looks and an even better drive (from what I have read) and a nicer interior. It might be a year away, but I am excited!

A couple of questions...
Do you know when the M6 will be being replaced?
Do you have any idea what the competition pack adds to the monthly price on a lease?

I find silverstone a very marmite colour and I am not sure it suits it that much.

Whilst silverstone is not my fave colour, it certainly looks pretty well in the metal

Has a lovely hue about it, and when polished up looks stunning

The blue in the pic above is ona whole different level of desirability imo

Sounds like you're going through the same thought process that I did, only I didn't have an M5 to begin with, I was deciding between the two.

As for being replaced, the M6 / F06 LCI was only in summer 15, so it must be 2 more years at least to run. Google some BM forums, they usually have production timetables online.

The M5 stops production this spring.

When I quoted the M6 the Comp Pack varied from place to place. The dealer that did the best overall lease price wanted £120/m for the CP, but the 2nd dealer who were more on the car wanted £90/m for the CP.

With the few minor options I wanted it was just a push too far for me, £120/m = £5280 @ 9+35.

Thanks for the reply.

Yeah, I reckon £100 or so per month extra will be a bit much. I'll probably be looking for around £800-£850/month maximum and will need a 12k-13k mile per year contract so (assuming decent contacts are around when I am looking to get the car), the Comp pack will probably push beyond that.I'd like to know how different it is.... my concern would be if I tested it and really preferred it, I would end up saying yes and spending too much.... and then the wife kills me and I'm not even around to drive it.

Having quoted dozens of lease cars over the last few years, you might struggle to get a good deal on 13k mile's, the deals will be on 8 or 10k max, maybe 2 or 3 years depending. You'll just have to factor in excess mileage.

Mines on 8k, with 25p/mile excess. So 5kpa extra (total 13kpa) would add £104/month equivalent to pay at the end. If I'd have asked for 13kpa in the lease it would have cost more and you don't get it back if you do less miles. Usually if you veer away from the offer terms you wave goodbye to the offer!

Despite being a near 100k car I still had to add comfort access at £650, having had it for 6 years now I wasn't goin to go without it. And full leccy sunblinds for rear window and doors at £800 for the kid(s) which make the interior a lovely shady place in the summer. Didn't want privacy glass as the rear-only tint breaks up the window lines from outside IMO.

Also, for me, it would be impossible to park properly without surround view at £800... a snip if it saves wheel damage and ego damage....

That was it for me option wise, but just that lot adds £50/m or so.

The surround view is a really a revelation, you can slot it into any space with ease just using the virtual "from above" view, really impressive. Works in the dark too.

Yeah, fair point. My M5 is on a 10k a year deal with 25p for extra miles. I'd happily just go with an 8k or 10k deal and then just put away the extra each month to cover the excess mileage; as long as the figures stack up. On the M5, the cost options I went for were 20 inch wheels, H&K stereo, reversing camera and sun protection glass, as well as including the service pack. Given the M6 has 2 of those options standard (wheels and H&K), I'd only need the sun protection glass and reversing camera, although the surround view would be useful. I'll just have to see how the monthlies work out. Seeing the M6 in the blue the other day made we want one now!

Don't forget the LCI M6 has standard full leather - a 5 grand option on the M5!

...and spangly facelift full LED spaceship headlights....
...and a carbon roof...
...and no cost option full alcantara headlining and A/B/C pillar casings...
...and full carbon trim...
...and fancy M seats...
...and fitted floor mats with trim edgings that match the interior colour (sad I know)...

...and, hold your breath... standard split fold rear seats! gasp!...

...and... oh it drives pretty good too wink

Oh how times have changed since my 1983 MK1 XR2! which by the way also had split fold rear seats and cost new less than the full leather option on an M5!
