Very much looking forward to Thursday and meeting everyone.

I should have asked earlier Paul, will the map remove the 155 speed limiter ?
Yes, the top speed limiter will be removed & thus over 200mph is achievable. My gonads as yet haven't been large enough to explore that level but i've seen North of 180mph several times in Europe.

Great, thanks both.

I did a few VMax events in my mapped CLS63 with similar power and best I managed was 192 so looking forward to hopefully comparing the F10.

Should be quicker but i've yet to VMAX this car as couldn't make any of the dates last year. I'm booked onto Hypermax V in September.

Are MPSS rated for >186?

I doubt I'll ever explore that top end but when I took the car to Germany last I did think 155 was a little restrained for the car.

They lied about the Stage as their car was Stage 2 tune, although they were testing so hadn't 'officially' launched the Stage 2. IIRC it was 730bhp & 680lbsft.
Excuse me? Who lied? What interest does that serve when we full well know our customers attend VMAX and would soon find out the cars don't perform as intended.

When we went to Vmax Hyper Max II we were Stage 1 which is around 700 BHP.

Here are the results:

HYPERMAX II

Bugatti Veyron 225
Koenigsegg One:1 225
UGR Gallardo 219
Koenigsegg Agera 214
La Ferrari 210
Porsche 918 209

Aventador – white 204
Noble M600 203
Aventador – Red 203
Twin turbo gallardo, grey 203
997 turbo 200
Huracan – green 197
Mercedes Benz McLaren SLR 722 Edition 197
Aventador, Orange 197
McLaren 12C 195
Evolve BMW F10 M5 195
Pagani Zonda 193
SL 63 192
997 GT2 – reg GT09 TWO 192

When we went to VMAX Hypermax III we were running Stage 2 + which is with Downpipes and Intakes and 750 BHP. The trap speed was lower (193 MPH) because of headwind. You can see that the LA Ferrari was also 5 MPH slower than when it was at Hypermax II as was the 918. The other Evolve F10 M5 that did 191 was Stage 2 without the intakes.

HYPERMAX III

SVM Qashqai 222
UGR Gallardo 219
9EXX 217
9 EXX 209
RS Tuning 3.9 997 GT2 207
GTR stage 4 207

Porsche GT2 white 203
Koenigsegg one:1 200

Evolve BMW F10 M5 193
Gold Lamborghini Aventador 192
M5 f10 frozen silver 192
Evolve BMW M5 191
McLaren 12C 191

I can prove all of the above power figures with dates from my dyno runs.

Agreed, lied was too strong so i'll go with sometimes exaggerated.

I'm as said above in no way doubting the quality of Evolve's work, however i've heard very different claims/stories surrounding what outputs the Evolve development car was making at certain points/events.

And what about "they adopt a quite deceitful approach to many things"

Offer some proof or detract that statement. I find it HIGHLY offensive and misleading to others reading.

I can offer concrete proof of what power the car was running at what point and at what events evidenced by the time stamps on my dyno runs which are impossible to alter.

What can you offer except hearsay?

If you want to talk about "exaggerated" you may want look closer to home. The tuner which you are a fanboy of still claims 41 BHP from an ECU remap on a V10 M5 and 30 BHP on a E46 M3.

You're right, that was certainly a bit strong & i'll reprimand myself for that comment especially made on a such public forum. I however still stand by what i was told & it certainly wasn't hearsay, however i'll put it down to certain others being a little over zealous with their willy waving.

I'm not a fanboy of anyone & choose where to spend my money very carefully & this as you'd expect after much investigation into alternative providers. I'm not for a moment going to justify anyone elses claims as it's not my place to do so. The uplift on my E60 M5 wasn't quite 41bhp but IIRC it was pretty damn close.

As my post has now been quoted this may not work, however i'll delete the post in which as you rightly say i did use inappropriate wording.

I've deleted the quote on my reply.

We need a shootout as you seem to be insinuating DMS are fabricating figures? Also damaging ..no?

Let's stop it here

Both will perform near identically TBH but DMS have offered a very competitive package and I know W8 has had his fettled by them for many 1000's of miles as well as the promising evo review kind of sealed the deal for me.

I can only speak as I find but Imran at Evolve has been very easy to deal with, helpful and communicative. I didn't get any impression of any exaggerations or half truths.

I've decided to go with Evolve for the downpipes and have an order in which predates the group buy.

I've also liked what I have heard and read about DMS and a non BMW owning long standing client of theirs has also spoken very highly.

Hopefully I'll end up with the best of all worlds !

I'm sorry Paul but what you were told and hearsay are exactly the same thing. Thats what hearsay is.

Appreciate the self reprimanding though.

I've had three cars remapped by Evolve and am there again this Thursday afternoon to get another one done. You're welcome to come along and see my car there if you're sceptical,

Everyone has their favourite tuners for whatever reason, but for me, it's Evolve every time. The cars always perform better and I get decent, honest service.

Are DMS any better or worse? I'm not an expert so I can't comment, but I do know that I've been pleased with Evolve and they have clear data which backs up their statements.

I hardly post on this forum unless its in the meets section. I especially do not post in threads about other tuners but when a customer sends me a link to this with comments about our intergrity unfortunately I have to make an exception.

We've proven our tunes at VMAX on our own and customers cars. Look forward to finally seeing another tuners F10 M5/F13 M6 attending this year as there was none last year.

As far as shoot out is concerned we have plenty of real verified data out there. Buy yourself a Vbox and see how close you can get or better by.

V Box Verified Times:

Stage 1

Stage 2 + with stock MPSS Tyres

Stage 2 + with Trofeo-R Tyres

Stage 2 + with Stock MPSS

11.49 at 129 MPH

Imran, like i've said twice above my wording was wholly inappropriate & i've apologised for that & removed the posts.

I also said several times that i've in no way got any reason to doubt the quality of Evolve's work & in fact know a couple of your customers who of course are happy with the work you've done so my comments were certainly not in any way meant to impart who's the better tuner & if they did come across that way then again i apologise as that wan't my intent. My only issue & it certainly wasn't based on mere hearsay were certain claims made by certain people at certain times (a couple of years ago now). Happy to take that offline as i should have known better that this isn't the correct place to raise such a point.

Was booked to attend 2 of the Hypermax events last year but had to cancel both due to clashes with holidays & a Charity event. Short of a catastrophe i'll be at Brunters for Hypermax V in September as had my booking moved to that event a couple of weeks ago.

Genuine question, is the difference between the 2 sets of VBOX figures above for Stage 2 purely the different tyres? Any other relevant factors that could have lead to those differences as that's quite a gain for the Trofeo-R tyres & perhaps what i should be considering for this years track activity.
