I like this rare colour, but wondering if it's a bit 'marmite' and might be a difficult coloured car to sell in a few years?

Thoughts?

I don't mind the colour but £17800 seems high to me! Amazing that E46 M3's can range from £7k to £25k for a CS let along £70k for a CSL

I personally don't like it, but when I did consider an Estoril blue one I googled to get lots of images and on M3 Cutters for example, there was almost entirely adoration for these two light blue colours.

So I'm not so sure it's that marmite. And I certainly wouldn't worry too much about resale, If you like it consider it if YOU feel price is right.

Love this colour personally. Also, I think it's rarity is enough to offset any diminished demand arising out of its being 'marmite'.

I've not had it inspected yet, but to my very fussy eye it really is mint. Having said that I think it's slightly overpriced.

Big price but it is a fantastic colour.

Great colour and quite rare so whilst many may prefer a safe colour when buying the lower numbers of these should make it OK.
This is a pre-facelift car which I think makes it less desirable. The 03 on cars had a few spec and cosmetic tweaks as well as some engine revisions following the bearing shell recall from earlier cars.

Is it more a £16k car?

No mention of whether the subframe has been done, which for such a strong price, i would expect. Also check with BMW customer services to see if the bearing recall/pass airbag recalls have been competed, the former especially being an early pre-facelift car.

Also, for that money, id want a PROPER service history, done exactly to the BMW recommendations, not 4 stamps over the course of 13 years, which is what most "dealers" think is a full service history for a BMW with 50-60k miles.

Being a real stickler, if the car has been looked after so brilliantly, why did it fail the MOT on tyres in 2011, thats basic failure to keep on top of maintenance, in addition, having failed the MOT in 2010 as both headlights were out of alignment, id be checking for front end accident damage, especially because of that random back mark/paint damage on the suspension turret.

Lot of sellers chancing big prices on these now on the back of crazy CSL prices.

I'm a big fan of the colour. I just recently bought an E92 LE500 in Santorini Blue. I think the bold colours look great over the usual Silver/Black. Makes them stand out a bit more.

Buy this one. I've been to see it. It's mint.

I imagine the ridiculously crazy price and guilt at having an interior stained with the blood of so many Smurfs on his hands deterred him.

Nearly 18 grand for a non facelift coupe!

LSB isn't even a metallic colour.

An LSB interior too, turn it in

Crazy money for a pre facelift ! And with the worry that the bottom end could grenade !
