It isn't the easiest beast in tight spaces. I struggled for a while until my young daughter showed me that we had surround view!
I kerbed one of the front wheels going through the width restrictions in Marlow bridge. First time ever in 35 years of driving, so it does take a bit of getting used to.
That bridge! I managed to do the same on a week old 911 back in 2009 and I've never forgotten it! I kerbed one of the front wheels going through the width restrictions in Marlow bridge. First time ever in 35 years of driving, so it does take a bit of getting used to.
When I was getting a quote for repair, the wheel bloke told me that he had mangled all 4 rims on his Q7 in one go over the bridge.
What annoys me is that it couldn't be too difficult or expensive to put a rubber edge on some of these surfaces - or even just slant them slightly. They seem designed to inflict maximum damage. Did the eurotunnel ramp to the upper deck in a 730d which caught an alloy badly - you can't see the edges when you're going up the ramp.
