That bridge! I managed to do the same on a week old 911 back in 2009 and I've never forgotten it!
Ouch! Mental scarring as well.

When I was getting a quote for repair, the wheel bloke told me that he had mangled all 4 rims on his Q7 in one go over the bridge.

What annoys me is that it couldn't be too difficult or expensive to put a rubber edge on some of these surfaces - or even just slant them slightly. They seem designed to inflict maximum damage. Did the eurotunnel ramp to the upper deck in a 730d which caught an alloy badly - you can't see the edges when you're going up the ramp.
