E46 M3 Winter Tyres
Discussion
Looking at 19inch winter tyres I came across some Nokian WR D4 in 235/35 R19 91W on tyre leader for £138.31 per corner.
Now I know they are not the correct size for either the fronts or the rears but would they be ok? I'm not too worried about finding the ultimate handling experience. Just a good set of winters to cope with the wet muddy roads round here and to make sure I don't get stuck should we see a sprinkling of snow.
Thanks

The Contis are a good tyre, I'd always prefer to get the right size for the car than use a non standard size. I have Vredestein Wintrac Extremes in 18" and they're great, took me down to the Alps and even up the mountain in a blizzard. The gendarmes thought i was mental but they were fine, really transform winter driving in an M3.

+1 for the Vredesteins.
Cant add a huge amount but I had a pair of Vredestein Quatrac 3 on the front of my 306 and they worked a treat, as soon as it was below around 4-6deg you could really notice it go from even grip front/rear to being very much more planted at the front. To be honest while it worth reading around I think almost any winter tyre will be soo much better than a summer tyre in the cold its almost irrelivent which winter tyre you go for.
I have a set of winter for the E36 and again its totally worth swapping them, changes the car.
