Very nice. The e39 M5 are such good looking cars when in good nick. What are you looking to replace it with?
I have it as a second car and it just doesn't see enough use due to me being really busy with work these days. I run an M235i daily which is great but hasn't got the edge a full fat M Car has in its drivetrain and responses. Decided to sell both and try an M4.... Fingers crossed it has the trills of the M5 with the everyday usability of the M235i. Or at least thats the plan!

What an absolute beauty, why on earth would you want to sell it?!

The OCD in me would renew the coolant expansion tank, the yellowed plastic doesn't do the engine bay justice.

Congratulations on looking after it so well, I hope it goes to a good home.
Thank you kind Sir! As said above I need full fat M Car thrills everyday and this car is too nice to run to the moon and back, I think it would be best suited to a second car these days.

I plan to do the expansion tank, bugs me too. It's a job for the next service for sure!

And whoever the next owner is must know it's sold with a buy back option should I win the lottery haha!

It looks fantastic! Brings back very fond memories of my carbon black M5, which IMHO is THE colour for the E39. And the photos testify to the claim that the E39 M5 is the most cohesive design that just looks right. Perfect!

Is this car currently for sale?

and I agree - black and champagne works well on M5s.

Thanks Rassi, it's an awesome colour, changes so much in the sunlight or under artificial lights to a deep metallic blue. I don't think there is a better colour either. Let's not talk about keeping Carbon Black looking good though... Haha

Yeah, it's a striking combo... I do need to sell it unfortunately. PM me if you are genuinely interested. Thanks.

Thanks! thumbup It was a toss up between an M3 and an M5 but trackability won in the end...

Carbon Black is an amazing colour, but she's a shy bh!

Monday - It's black n shiny
Tuesday - It's black n shinyish
Wednesday - It's black and could do with a wash
Thursday - It's sort of black and definately needs a wash
Friday - OMG, did you go rallying in that?
Saturday - Washed but cloudy, still looks black
Sunday - Dry, so polish comes out, followed by the sun... Oooh, it's Black/Blue/Green! cloud9

Depending on the weather of course! wink

What a lovely looking M5. Ive had a couple over the years, and looks wise, they're the definitive super saloon. Shame you're selling, but it looks fantastic, so you shouldn't have a problem.

If I could sell my E30, my daily car, shoes and a kidney (and stumble across money to make up the (big) difference) I would buy this in a flash!

Make sure to quiz the buyer and validate it will be going to a good home!
