I'm sure they appreciate you posting the complete article on a forum for anyone to read, whilst it is the current issue.

It was a pretty simple fking question - what is the benefit of lending your car to a magazine to thrash? Either of you want to answer it or just want to tangent the question off into a completely different point.
It was a simple question. But I'm guessing you can see, in context, the tone was perhaps misjudged?

Anyway, to attempt to answer: Evo borrowed my e28 M5 for a feature about 4 years ago. It was up for sale and I figured a good write up and some glossy pictures wouldn't do it any harm at all. Henry Catchpole was the driver / writer - we had a good chat on the phone and I thought he seemed like a good chap who would take good care of it. He got it a little sideways for a couple of shots, but it was a damp day and the car was on P6000s, so hardly needed thrashing in order to make it dance. He wrote a cracking article and everyone was happy.

I'd do it again.

So the benefit to me is that I still have copies of the photos and a couple of copies of the magazine as a lovely keep-sake of a cracking car. And the car is now "the one with the 5 star rating in Evo", which does the car no harm at all.
