I am not in the market just yet but noticing a couple of demo M5's for sale with 0% finance, Mrs Blue SQ up for change in August and I'm thinking of stuffing her in my car and jumping into an M5 or M6GC, a zero deal on a lightly used appeals, any idea what the outlook is for deals over next 6 months?

I'd be interested to know about where these deals are if you don't mind sharing, I thought used APR was 10.9%. I think I read somewhere its possible to get the new APR if car has done minimal mileage and less than I think three months old, but even the new APR is 2.9% now.sunnydude said:
Whats HK system like? I do like the multispoke effect if I'm honest, although I do wish that they were just a bit lighter in colour (more hyper silver)
HK is good for the money, agreed in the wheel colour but it does hide the brake dust well. They give off more dust than any car I've had before!Rob747 said:

Is HK basically the replacement for 677 HiFi Professional? I had HiFi Pro in my 6 series, that was a fairly good system! But not as good as my Individual Audio that I had in my X6 (that was literally the best system i've had in a car) - which is probably placed between HiFi pro and B&O price wise at leastAnyone on here got B&O?

I think it compares favourably with the old 677 Professional, it's a Logic 7 system, not mind blowing but good for £600Anyone on here got B&O?

Hope its better than B&O's effort in the SLS... was a £6k option and its utter garbage for the money... disappointing on every level unfortunately, albeit sough after because it looks great (illuminated fromt tweeters/alu speakers)RichardM5 said:

Interesting to hear different view points. When I was playing with the demo I thought it was fantastic. I would on different music and you can really hear how special it is with certain music. Mind you is it worth it as a 5k option, thats debatable. I do love it though

Don't get me wrong, I don't think it's bad, it's just not fantastic. It's the best OEM audio system I've ever had in a car, but a similar spend on a good quality after market system would blow it away.Mind you is it worth it as a 5k option, thats debatable. I do love it though

I have the B&O in the M5. I was not impressed at first, but I've spent some time setting it up and now I'm happy. There a little bit of theatre as the centre speaker rises out of the dash as it turns on
£5-6k option is high. Not something I could justify - road noise reception and DB within the car too high to damage hearing I wonder unless it's the crispness of the sound of MP3's (but that depends on the recorded quality). Most I've had is BOSE as specified in the RS6 (have to say IMHO I didn't notice much difference).
£5-6k buys what a Stage 3 upgrade on these cars... The intake and exhaust would be enough for me .

I've disconnected the HK centre speaker in my E63, and bypassed most of the system with an amp and sound processor. Do in-house installers suppose they've invented something better than stereo when they bung some naff centre speaker on the dash? Welshbeef said:

Mine's quick enough already. I've got the performance package, so the exhaust is also a little more fruity. I can't see me tuning it.Not something I could justify - road noise reception and DB within the car too high to damage hearing I wonder unless it's the crispness of the sound of MP3's (but that depends on the recorded quality). I don't know how much, if anything that it adds to the musical experience. My home cinema system has a centre speaker and you can play movies through the system, so maybe it's something to do with that.V5Ade said:

Sure I think it's the whole surround sound experience that manufacturers are trying to reproduce in the more top-end cars. Maybe it works with helicopters and gunshots etc where changes in directional sound can be impressive..but music in a car? Hope my first post didn't appear terse BTW!I don't know how much, if anything that it adds to the musical experience.
