I like the idea of one of these, enjoy!

Coast2Coast are offering about £13k off the list price for your spec, make sure you manage at least that
Thanks to your input I had two dealers fighting for my business today and aside from the massive amount I saved using Coast2Coast I then saved a further £2500 at 5:30 this evening when they continued to fight for the deal.

I owe you a drink Sir beer thanks thumbup

Hmmmm, wondered if they are too gimmicky......now not sure what to do, but have plenty of time to change my mind smile

The only upgrade for the 50d is comfort seats.
The comfort seats are the same as m multifunction, just different name on x5. Having had the M multi function on my M5 I couldn't get away with standard Msport seats in the X5 demo. Like the lumber, inflatable sides, winged headrests and top seat separate tilt adjustment.
As you say plenty time to choose and try.........
Sounds like your getting a great deal!

I curse this forum!
Was all set on a fairly obvious path to a new C63s or a RS6 when my C63 estate goes back in June
After this read I went to the dealer and saw an X5M, and have now spent last hour wathcing youtube videos of it. Have to say, really growing on me !!!

Some news....

My dealer has agreed to match the Coast2Coast deal I sourced on the web and I'm going to order the car for delivery during October.
Great news! Chuck a fiver in an air ambulance collection tin if you're stuck for what to do with the saving :-)
As a man of my word I was passing through the channel tunnel on Saturday and the local lifeguards were the charity of the day/weekend etc.

They are a fiver better off smile

I really like the X5M but it's not the right move for me currently, my M5 is as fast and probably a better drive (and more fuel efficient!)

However interior looks bloody georgeous yes

Don't forget I got nearly 22% off my new car so there are deals to be done......

Whilst they have the same range of movements the M multifunction seats have much deeper side bolsters on the base and back rest and larger shoulder support "wings" you really do sit "in" the M seats.

Bit of bad news I'm afraid............

I've just cancelled my order frown

However............

It's being placed again in a week or so which will mean I get the 2017 X5 which now comes with touchscreen gesture sat nav as standard just like the new 7 series.

This was suggested by my dealer who kind of guessed I'd be a tiny bit pissed off if my car was delivered in the knowledge the spec changed 1 week or so after they started the process.

Other changes are as follows:

There's a pack to include:

HUD
Sun protection glass
20" wheels
Speed limit
Harmon Kardon

All of which I have spec'd and it's cheaper than buying as individual options

Enhanced bluetooth no longer exists and you get wireless charging (should your phone support it) and built in wifi hotspot.

So not all bad news wink

Apparently the revised sat nav is being rolled out across all models shortly.

Inductive, like your Toothbrush (assuming you have an electric toothbrush) -

Not sure the Apple iPhone has inductive charging? - my Android does and so does Windows Phones (the decent ones) anyway.

The rumour mill suggests the iPhone 7 will have wireless charging yes

Do you know when these changes (new Sat Nav) and new pack (which sounds good value) will be reflected on configurator?

I don't, sorry.

I spoke to th dealer this afternoon to add something to my spec and he simply said he'd cancelled my order, and he was going to wait a week and place it again so I had the new options.

I understand his configurator will be up and running tomorrow, not sure about the BMW site, but I guess a week or so?

I'm told the base price hasn't changed, the option pack is slightly cheaper than the sum of the parts currently and whilst USB thingy has gone the new equivalent is now about £100 more expensive.

I'm hoping that in my case overall costs will be the same. If I end up spending £100 than I was going to but have the most up-to-date X5 on the road I'll be happy.

I had two dealers fighting and I did nothing other than sit back and watch them.

Once the deal had been agreed I had the figure reduced by £2500 late on a Friday as they were still fighting for the deal.....bloody amazing!

At the risk of throwing a spanner in the works... do you know if the car you're getting may get the new quad turbo 50d engine that's being rolled out for the 750d? Not sure if it's coming to the UK and if so when

ETA http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/bmw/95411/bmw-750d-xd...

Here's the first link I could dig up, sure I read about it last month or so though
