E30 M3 Evo2 - price?
Discussion
Ensure that all the Evo 2 exclusive parts are present and correct as most are discontinued and rarely come up on the second hand market. From the sounds of it there's no reason they shouldn't be but I know from first hand experience there's at least 1 Macau Blue Evo 2 in the UK that isn't as genuine as claims to be.
I'd recommend getting the car inspected by a specialist, I used Barney at Classic Heroes to inspect my Evo 2 before I bought it, he's not cheap but he traveled to the car, spent at least 5 hours going over it and the paperwork and provided a comprehensive written report a day or 2 later. If you do have it inspected, definitely get it up on a ramp.

BMW classic will confirm its status if you provide them with VIN and engine numbers.
Evo 2 specific bits are engine internals, non cat exhaust, front chin spoiler, rear heckspoiler, rear boot lid, both bumpers, 3mm glass on the rear side and rear window (3.0 markings etched into them) silver uberkaro cloth/half leather seats and metal plaque with number 1-500 normally on the lower console. They have the same 16" wheels as the cecotto/ravaglia/SE but they are a single colour.

Condition is everything if you are paying top money so apart from originality (which includes having all the documentation) check for signs of rust. Particularly below the windscreen corners by the scuttle vents, sills under the side skirts, floor pan around the driver and passenger footwells and rear panel - inner rear arches too. If you are going to jack the car up, only do it on the solid areas of the chassis - those square looking jacking points on the front driver and passenger floor pan areas are not to be used and to do so will cause huge amounts of damage. They were merely there to locate a dolley when the body was shunted around the factory and won't take the load of a full car.
Mechanically, everything can be rebuilt/repaired for sensible money providing the car is an original EVO2 - which in my opinion is the best E30 M3 variant, with the best factory engine.
I've had my E30 M3 215BHP since 1998 and I'm so glad I kept hold of it even when they slumped to £4k in the early 2000's..... :-)

Definitely get any potential E30 purchase up on a ramp. Even very nice cars can have bits of rust hidden from view. I saw a low mileage, 2 owner car from California yesterday and even that has a couple of bits in the rear quarters.
As for price, I would say upwards of £80k seems about right by recent sales.

Went to see the car yesterday. Absolutely beautiful
All the guidance - especially 'how to check its a genuine Evo2' - was invaluable so thank you. Car was in fantastic condition although needing a major service (which is being included in the sale price). Expect to conclude the purchase tomorrow...
