@MikeN54 - My current M135i is costing me £400 a month on my PCP deal. It was quite highly specced with service pack, winter wheel package included too. If I could get an M5 for £500 a month or under I would be very happy, as it's a lot more car for an extra £100 a month...

@Welshbeef - I've done a lot less miles than my PCP allowance, and my car is in very good condition, so I'm hoping to have a decent amount of equity from it to use as a deposit on my next car. If I have to put in a couple of thousand it won't break me. My salary is above the UK average but not ridiculously high. I have considered used but often these type of cars are cheaper on a new deal, especially as I would probably buy it at final payment time.

@ MikeN54 - Where could I have got an M5 with 3k deposit for under £600/m last year? I may contact them and see what they can offer now.

@theboss - That's a very interesting comparison. I did briefly consider a Golf R but I don't love hatchbacks enough to have another. I'd prefer a saloon car. How do the two compare to drive? Regardless of cost, what are the differences between the two and which do you prefer more? I used to have an E46 M3 for years, so I know about "///M Tax", but I figured that being brand new, maintenance on the M5 wouldn't be too bad...? What are the highest costs to look out for?

@chambersc88 - Thanks for the information. Very useful to know. Does that mean I would need to order one by July or so to ensure I was able to get a build slot before production ends???

Does anyone think there will be a realistic possibility of deals such as £3k deposit and £500 a month on the very last ones produced?

That would be my assumption...given the usual 10-12 week lead time.

I hope so.....as I'm in the same boat as you in seriously considering a new M5 before EOP.

Personally no.

I would suggest the best you'll probably get on an 8k per mile agreement is 6 down and around £600 per month

However, I have been wrong before

That would be my suggestion yes, but it should be available to order for as long as it remains on our ordering system, so you may have a bit longer. Always a bit of a grey area until BMW announce when production will cease.

I'll let you know if I hear anything.

Cheers,

Chris

Well that is the deal that is already being offered. I'm sure there will be a better deal nearer the time, I hope so!
