I'm looking to purchase an M5 F10 and having heard some horror stories about repair bills I'd like to get a car still under BMW Warranty.
I plan to go for a car less than 3 years old with less than 30,000 miles, does anyone know what the cost of an extended warranty would be once it reaches 3 years old?
Alternatively, if I bought a car that was just over 3 years old (early 2013) but with full BMW Service History, would I be able to purchase a warranty from BMW?

Thanks in advance.

Ps. Replied to your PM smile

Easy to add a warranty even on a car purchased privately.
As long as it as a full service history (does not need to be BMW but makes it easier if it is)

If you want to get an idea of cover costs. Grab a registration number from auto trader and paste it in to the website to get an approx cost.

Last time I checked for full cover inc roadside came to around 1500 and without it was around 1200/1300 I think.

Might be give or take for cars with less millage or newer but gives you an idea. I done the check on an 11 plate M5 with 20k miles on it

This, I haven't heard any horror stories for the F10 either.

I've not hear of any horror stories on the F10 M5 and I spent quite some time researching them.

The E60 M5 is the only car I've ever put a warranty on although it's been quite reliable, if I buy an F10 M5 next I'm not going to bother with a warranty for the little amount I use my car. Again from reading up they seem fairly robust.
