Hi folks,
2014 m3 £46000 at redline specialist cars, does anyone have any info or has anyone viewed this car? We are looking to purchase this motor if all is well, but would like some info if anyone has viewed before we travel 2 hours.

2 owners, first was main dealer for 1 month then private individual for 2years.
Its on 10k I think and only had the running in service at 1200miles and nothing since, is this correct?

Think he said the next service is due at 19k according to the I drive. Does this sound right?

Cheers all, sorry for the noob questions.

I would have expected it to have had another service by now (I'd have certainly had it serviced again if it was mine). I assume it's only an oil change needed however there's absolutely no way I'd leave it until 19k.

This place also infuriates me with the stupid angles they take their photographs from.

Thanks mrbarry,
I thought that it sounded a bit long to leave it. We would probably give the car a service soon after we purchased it just to check everything over.

19 K miles may not exceed a service due date. Just check the i drive info. when you view the car. There will be a service due at two years and the first cars
are approaching that date. My own M4 is used mostly for long 200 plus mile trips and didn't have a service light until just over 20k miles.

Do you M boys really leave it that long before an oil change?

Servicing is condition based, either when it needs doing or every two years.

In terms of time or mileage? I'll do 20k in about 7 months so I service it according to the condition based service schedule, due to my mileage the car will get a service every 6-7 months that's more than enough, but if I were only doing say 8-10k per year I'd probably change the oil annually regardless (outside of the CBS schedule which is dependant on your driving style and is also time limited to 2 years)

It's not to long to leave it according to the CBS all depends how the car has been driven etc...just because some people are a bit anal I wouldn't walk past a good car, if you like it go see it.

Most likely it will need servicing soon based on the 2 year rule so just get them to throw that in if you buy it.

Thankyou all for the replies. If its a nice example we will try and get the price of a service knocked off too.

Thanks.
