Looking at an E60 M5 tomorrow
Discussion
Only a couple of pics so far, will try and get a few more tomorrow.
Anyway, sensible family motoring...
Frankly, I'm just quite chuffed with myself for buying a car with 4 useable seats
My mate who has one just sent me the following message: "Nice one mate - the only thing it doesn't pass is a petrol station!!" .... I tickled her home from the dealer about 25 miles and achieved 15mpg....looks like she's going to make my old 550 look frugal!

Looks nice. Apart from the lowering springs, what else has been done to it?
Was that a question for me or Bebs?! My car is standard so far as I know, if it looks a little low it's probably due to being on a slight angle on our drive. Which actually reminds me, I'm dead impressed with the ride quality so far in comfort mode. I'm also finding that round where I live due to the not so smooth country roads, if you want to fully unleash the V10 you have to keep the suspension in Comfort to keep it soft enough to get the power down, it still shimmees around even then but anything firmer and the rear hops a bit too much breaking traction.
Also tried out level 7 on the gear change yesterday with DSC off....amusing thump in the back but surely that can't be good for the drivetrain???!!!

S6 not 7, im sure its ok but not 100% of the time. They tell you how to use launch control in the manual but i wouldnt be doing that all the time either.Which actually reminds me, I'm dead impressed with the ride quality so far in comfort mode. Engine and transmission adaptive, so no need to be running around with the transmission in S6 all the time.
When you go for a proper drive, you'll find the engine and transmission responses improve once you start caning it (irrespective of toggling the shift speed).
IIRC running in Comfort suspension mode doesn't give you the weightier/more responsive steering ?

I find normal mode (1 light on EDC) the best balance for everyday driving, and sport for the smoother surfaces. Comfort mode lacks feel and feedback.
Comfort is no lights, sport = 1 light, Advanced = 2 lights. I use mine in comfort quite a lot, sport on smooth roads but advanced is pointless for the road as its far too hard. Used advanced on track and it was just right for track.Mario149 said:

Yours definitely looks lowered to me. Have a look at your springs, maybe Blue H&R's?
