Fook me.

That's bd fking quick and ultra efficient. Crikey.
On the off chance that BMW are looking for a marketing slogan for their new model, I think we have a winner!

Reckon there's any chance we'll get the X-Drive one in the UK?
Nope.
UK centric press release available and as expected. no xDrive.

Extremely unlikely they will engineer a RHD one (for F2x) given the current stage of lifecycle.

Do we think it will have different wheels or look any different in any way, or will it just be the badge and the engine?

Does anyone anticipate any improvements to the rear suspension? This was a bit of a let-down on the earlier cars...

Morning Chaps, I placed and order for a M135i on saturday, waited for a call on monday from the dealer letting me know the Finance went through ok but had to chase him yesterday, for him to say that BMW had halted production of the M135i due to the M140i, he's going to call me tomorrow to let me know whats going on..

what do you guys this will happen??, I got a great deal on the car, but am worried now that the 35i will be cheaper than the 40i and that the deal I got will change and probably price me out of getting the flagship 1 series... your thoughts and comments will be greatful

From what I understand the base price of the M140i is pretty much identical to the M135i so there's been no price hike associated with the engine change. The big unknown is what level of discounts will be available on the new car but when the 340i was introduced last year the deals on offer were very similar to those for the outgoing 335i and I suspect the same will apply to the M140i (i.e. you'll probably be able to replicate the deal you'd agreed on an M135i or at least get pretty close to it). That is however guesswork on my part but I think dealer systems are due to be updated tomorrow so you should know where you stand by the end of the week; hope you get the deal you want, let us know how you get on!

Just had a phone call from my dealer stating that I can order the M140i from June onwards, for build from 2nd week of July onwards, delivery late August to mid September.

He is still waiting to hear from BMW UK whether the same discount support level is offered.

I don't doubt the M140i will be an improvement over the M135i but I can't see that the new engine will in itself justify a completely different (lower) level of discount support. It didn't when the B58 replaced the N55 in the 3 and 4-Series and if BMW reduced the level of support significantly on the new car I suspect buyers will sit back and wait until the levels of discount go up again; therefore, if they want to avoid a temporary stall in sales I think BMW need to maintain a similar discount policy to the one which was in place for the M135i....

I hope they do, otherwise I will be cancelling my order as I was on the breadline buying this one.. I cant imagine I'm the only person who stretched myself to have the flagship 1 series...

Hi All, Just heard back from the dealer this morning, they are honouring the M135i deal with the obvious elongated lead time of Aug/Sept.. just waiting for him to send me an updated order to sign

Excellent news! Shame you won't get it until August or September but I'm sure it will be worth the wait; that B58 engine in the 1-Series should make for a cracking car! smile
