Just a short note of massive recommendation for these pads which I fitted in my E90 M3 for a track day at Bedford yesterday. I am really surprised at how fade resistant and consistent these pads are compared to standard.
On the road they feel just like OEM - no noise no brake dust
Couple of laps here.. Marshals were very nice about the drifting..

I've used EBC pads for years, they have always been very good, and its helpful they dont dust much.
Have Redstuff on my E46, was going to get yellow, but dont do track days so went for reds. Never had any issues with them.
Would probably get yellow when these reds are done.
Andy
I used them in my E36 compact and they were OK, better than standard road pads but not a good as the performance friction that I used in my E30, was using both cars at Brands hatch on the same weekend, both were similar power and weight.
Having said that the Yellow stuff were about 1/2 the cost of the PF so good value. I'm quite surprised they were up the job in an E92 M3

Hawk are superior as Mark said.
A friend with a Mitsubishi GTO has found EBC Yellowstuff horrendous; he has to ride the brakes to get any life out of them. On track that does not improve ; it still takes a while for the pads to "wake up" and they do still go off!
He is planning on fitting genuine Mitsubishi pads and seeing how he gets along.
EDIT - he now has and has said the difference is staggering.
For the rest, what state were your brakes in before they were changed to EBCs? I know on alot of M3s I saw the brakes were in a poor state on many of them. Even my Clio had crap brakes when I bought it and they were new (inner pad on both carriers had seized up and destroyed both discs - excessive rust was on the inside of them). Did you change them yourself or get a garage to change them - did they comment on the state of the brakes at all?
I ask as I changed some nearly new brakes on my Clio for as good as OE as I could get (Pagid discs with Bosch pads). They took a while to bed in but even on track with careful application they were fine, and I was no the slowest on track either! Even on a Ford Mondeo I've noticed the difference in braking power between certain brands of pad and the genuine stuff .
Yup, the grooved discs were barely 2 years old when I changed them:
Outside they looked fine:
If I were to go for a pad I'd consider Mintex M1144s, Ferodo DS2500s or Pagid Blues alongside the Hawks. Carbon Lorraine are meant to be superb but I have never tried them in a car so cannot comment there.

I use CL Brakes RC5+. work from cold, less dust than DS2500, not experienced fade on the track.
I have used DS2500, DS3000-both dirty and the 3000s need some heat. Mintex 1144- Noisy. EBC Yellow-work from cold, but go off quickly with heat when they do.
The CL Brakes are the best I have tried.

Do you get any noise with the ds2500 Mark?
How are they from cold & daily driving?
On a 306 GTI-6 I drove with them on they were OK from cold - I've had better pads from cold but they were still more than acceptable. How are they from cold & daily driving?
IME EBC Yellows and DS2500s does not even qualify for a comparison.
You have decided for me what potential pads I can put onto my M3 next.
Saying that, even my stock M3 pads (genuine) are not the quietest of things.
