Which 36, I'd say a 3.0 coupe. Sort the suspension for something less compromised, run slightly better- more aggressive geo, refresh a few bushes & they are great.
Hello mate - hope you're well. smile

I reckon my mate's E36 Evo that he was kind enough to ask me to do a few laps in at Bedford was sweeter than my 3 litre when I had it. It pulled harder and had Pagid RS29s in it so I felt like it stopped better too. Then again, I still remember us commenting on how terrible the pads were in my old 3 litre. It's still a car I shouldn't have sold.

I'm still miles away from finishing my Evo track build but I must admit, I do keep feeling the odd pang of guilt over taking a rare Evo saloon and building a track car with it!

A lot of people nowadays say not to worry about Evo/non-Evo and to just buy the best condition M3 you can for your budget. I think the Evo is a better car (had a 3.0) but I'd happily take a good 3.0 over a ropey Evo.

I ended up with an Evo coupe in Techno Violet, 1997, 111k, FSH, recent heap of work. Just needs an inspection 2 doing (I have all the parts etc and will do it during summer shut down).

Yep if it's a sunny weekend car it's has to be a convertible! Handles well for a cab, reliable, 4 seats, love mine more and more nowadays!
