What to replace an F13 M6 coupe with when the time comes....
Discussion
Was chatting to my dad earlier who has a 2012 Sakhir Orange M6 coupe. Almost fully equipped except no ceramic brakes and not a CP model and we were discussing what to replace it with when the time comes.....
To be honest, it's actually quite a hard subject. Objectively, it's a very hard car to beat. It's a very, very quick car, it's very smooth, whilst not as quiet or as comfortable as even my old 7 series, it's still a very nice place to while away a lot of miles. The stereo is epic (bang and Olufsen), the full leather interior is lovely..... It can seat 4 reasonably well....
My personal gripes with it are that it doesn't sound particularly exciting in my opinion, he had an E92 M3 before which was just a masterpiece from an engine point of view..... The TT V8 is SO much faster but just not as exciting. Other than that it's hard to fault the big 6 I think.
What else, around £100k could it be replaced with? Tough one, I reckon.
Over to you!

Bentley Continental or Maserati Granturismo or AM DB9 or S63 Coupe or 911 Targa?
I think the Bentley is a pretty good call. I don't think the Maserati lives up in terms of performance or interior..... DB9 is nice but again, 8 think that and the 911 are too restricted in the rear for the occasional use of back seats. MrBarry123 said:
The Bentley V8 S will do the 1/4 mile in 12.0 seconds versus the M6 which will do it in 11.8 seconds.
Hardly a huge difference.
No idea about 1/4 mile times although their will be many factors at play including the traction advantage of the Bentley, the M6 wouldn't really get grip until 3rd gear and even then it will still spin its wheels. Hardly a huge difference.
On paper stats don't always tell the full story, not saying it's a show stopper but it could be a consideration depending on your POV.
He's very, very happy with the M6 at the moment and has it for a little while longer yet, but we were just discussing possible options.
I think he'd like something with at least similar levels of performance. Something with an even more special interior would be nice.... Something with a wow factor. I think the Bentley does that, although I'm not sure about the surround about the gear lever.... Looks very VW!

Have you seen the new porsche panamera turbo that has been announced? Looks like a great option to follow the M6 To be honest, it's actually quite a hard subject. Do not get an Aston the interior and build quality is pants!! Great cars, but coming from a well built German car they are way way behind.
Well....the M6 is going Friday and he's picking up a supercharged V8 F type coupe.
He said it feels a little quicker, especially from standstill (4WD version) and the noise is MUCH better than the M6. The only disappointments about it are that the cabin feels much lower rent than the M6.
I guess it's a bit more "sporty" than the M6 and a bit less GT. Personally, I'd have probably gone the other way and gone for an AMG S63 coupe or something, but the F type certainly looks and sounds nicer than the M6.
