I think the Bentley is a pretty good call. I don't think the Maserati lives up in terms of performance or interior..... DB9 is nice but again, 8 think that and the 911 are too restricted in the rear for the occasional use of back seats.
Agreed on the Maserati, I took a look at them but didn't even bother with a test drive after sitting in it. Plasticy crap that fell apart when you touched it. Also the next gen front end they're rolling out across the models now is more fiat than maserati nuts

Well....the M6 is going Friday and he's picking up a supercharged V8 F type coupe.

He said it feels a little quicker, especially from standstill (4WD version) and the noise is MUCH better than the M6. The only disappointments about it are that the cabin feels much lower rent than the M6.

I guess it's a bit more "sporty" than the M6 and a bit less GT. Personally, I'd have probably gone the other way and gone for an AMG S63 coupe or something, but the F type certainly looks and sounds nicer than the M6.
It aint quicker it just sounds quicker, test drove it before I got my M6 GC CP.
I didn't think they'd be much in it. Clearly the 0-60mph time is faster due to 4WD, but past that, being so similarly powered, I didn't think they'd be a great difference. Jag perhaps a bit more aerodynamic but I'm not sure.

My neighbour has the F-Type R AWD & it certainly looks the part & sounds epic. That said i HATE the 'look at me' pointless high rev on start up.

Also being a 2 seater, not really a direct competitor of the M6 but still a thing of beauty & certainly a car i considered briefly.

I'd love that to be fair mostly because I really don't like how whisper quiet M cars are.

If a car has a nice engine I think it's nice that you can hear it, I loved the look at me part when I had my TVR! getmecoat

I agree with the loud vs. quiet point, but smacks of the Barry Boys at pedestrian crossings revving their engines & comes across a bit 'c0ck' like.

Nothing wrong with a great sounding car but a forced throttle blip every time the car's started is a little lame i think.

Yes I get your point and the F-Type is a cracking looking car as it is and sounds great at full chat, and doesn't really need the attention grabbing start up in fairness.
