Hi,

I recently bought a CP M6 and im thinking of upgrading to the akra/mpe exhaust as i got a sweet deal from my stealer and heard its much better than stock cp exhaust!

I was wondering if any of you had one fitted and what you thoughts are regarding the sound and if its worth it?

Also if there are any owners of one that could maybe kindly send me a video of it? or let me hear it in person to compare before i pull the trigger.

Many thanks,

Nick

I have an M% CP too and was thinking about an Akrapovic. However, i understand the CP cars have 'active' exhaust flaps. Does the Akrapovic ones have this?

Yeah we do but i wired the flaps open and it sounds soo much more brutal and cold starts are delicious haha!

Yeah the akra has the flap too but you can wire it open the same way... if only more people or dealers had some m6/m5 with mpe/akras so we could hear them in person as videos never do any echaust justice..

Ps. HIGHLY recommend to wire you flaps open and drive with windows down, trust me wink

Just get one of these, very easy to fit and you have the best of both worlds....

I've got this and would recommend too. Still like to be quiet at times I originally wired the flaps open and it was too noisy particularly early in the morning.

Full Titainium evo Akro on my M6 coupe and full decat downpipes. bow

Best sounding car I've heard TBH. Sounds like a V12 Fezza if you let the revs slowly rise when in town, screams loud when reved hard and burbles on tickover like an annoyed bear. Only slight issue is the cold start as it's silly loud for 30sec but it's only a toy so I tend not to upset the neighbours to much.

Yes I have a few vids but they do not do it justice really. Have a look on utube for an idea. I wouldn't recommend my setup for a daily mind as its a little extreme, it also gets the car to 760hp if mapped heavy. 😎

Hello I have the pme exhaust on my f10 m5. I live near Sunderland and would be happy to show any one what it sounds like. I've found that I don't need to wire the valves open as it sounds amazing

Have you got links by any chance? Yeah i know vids don't do exhaust justice but just to get a rough idea.

Ahhhhhhh don't say things like that..... Im way too tempted now haha! Will save up for an mpre/akra for sure! Only thing is i know that the cel will come on with downpipes and to get rid of it you need a remap but i wouldn't want more power(i know sounds silly but the cp m6 already has too much to put the power done effectively.)

Where did you get your work done?

Have exactly the same predicament at the moment, my CP was delivered just over a month ago. Out of interest, may I ask what you were quoted for the MPE? I have a quote in front of me from my local dealers and to be honest I'm not overawed at the prospect of spending £6,200 fitted, for what is, for all intents and purposes "just an exhaust" - as good as they seem to be from all accounts. PM me if that's more appropriate.

My car was in the other month with local main dealer having dash cam and black front grille fitted to replace the silver one.

I was quoted £6500 all inclusive for fitting of the exhaust (with the carbon rather than titanium tips). Just couldn't bring myself to do it at that price.
